I think a major difference between the presentation fo US fire trucks and (at least Central) European ones is that when the producer hands them over it's always already fully equipped, which then makes such presentation based more on the technical equipment than e.g. lights or sirens

Make sure you use high pressure 5" to feed it. We have the same set up on our aerial, and if feeding a fog nozzle you will be pretty close to test pressure on supply line. Nice looking truck!

Only thing I would have changed was the 5" connection to the pipe. I'd have put a 15 degree elbow on there facing down to reduce the stress on the 5" hose hooking in that high up and straight in. Minor detail.

Because all their members are a least EMT's if not paramedics and they respond to medical calls as well as fire and accident runs.

Scott Bryan I am a FF/paramedic myself. Just found it unusual to see that anywhere but on an ambulance, especially on a ladder truck.

happyjack880 because bcfd firefighters are also emt. Due to the outrageously high amount of "medic calls" we get. They will send a engine or truck depending on availability first until a ambo gets there.

if you've never operated a federal q in an ice storm youd realize that to be very true.the federal q on my truck actually froze while responding to an accident and we had to utilize the electronic siren.most military fire apparatus don't have federal qs equipped for that reason.the fed q is just traditional.

I can tell you for sure that this Tiller would not fit in any place where we fit an Engine in, even 100ft Aerials which are bsed on a way shorter truck and have all-wheel steering don't always manage to get into the sidestreets of the almost 2000 year old historic city center

Did T25 get a new rig? They moved from E44 to E21 so I assumed that it had to do with space in the firehouse. E21 used to have a tiller many years ago T9 when I was assigned to E44.

Nice trucks, wish there were more tillers around my area. about the siren,, LIARS :p They dont have two in case one goes out. Fire Departments just like to utilize both which is perfectly fine. dont make excuses, just say Americans are deaf and dumb and dont like to move over. Then cry when its their house or their mother that the FD has to respond to and not there in 5 seconds.

Hope this doesn't sound too crazy but since this truck is called a tiller, so what is the difference between this and the machine u use in in your back yard or wherever to dig up dirt, a rototiller, if tiller means DIG UP or maybe something similer, what does this fire truk Dig up???????
