Thanks Captain! This truck may be my new favorite. Great explanation of tandem axles. Lots of thought went into this truck. Great idea to back feed with portable generator. Really like how tiller driver sets the lights then has everything at his fingertips to go to work. So many more good ideas on this truck.

@KnightRider19832 жыл бұрын
DeKalb County (GA) Fire Rescue gets the first Sutphen TDA. Sutphen is really late to the game in the TDA market. I wonder if CFD is just waiting to see how others like it before buying one. Pierce makes a nice TDA though, as seen here

@@KnightRider1983 from the first three too the last one ordered CFD has made several changes over the 10 years too how they order their TDA's. A lot of guys I know in the department like the Sutphen's over the pierce but that not really saying much since the Sutphen's are mid mount platforms and the pierce is a TDA.

David, how are all of those Horton manufactured ambulances that CFD owns working out for them? You know the ones with the 2 year backlog on replacement parts....the ones that the Division of Fire is forced to run every spare ambulance as a front line rig because they can't keep the new ones running. Just because something is made in Ohio doesn't make it the best product for the job.
