I grew up around this hood & ran in all the places they highlighted back in the 80s, 90 & early 2000s. Bruce Ct & Mountmor ct. Did & learned a lot of things during my time. The guys in this video sound like the kids & grandkids of individuals I hung with or came up around. Its good to see that the community unity is still very much alive around there. Seeing that court where the notorious split is brought back a lot of memories. Gilmore Homes 4 life💯🦾❤️

I grew up in the 80s in Flag House projects. Near little Italy and the Inner Harbor. It was much safer, especially for kids. We didn't have a public pool, so used to go to the one near Perkins or if you didn't mind the walk, you'd go to the big one in Patterson Park. Lotta good memories. The things I missed the most was the food...blue crabs, two dollar chicken boxes and deli sandwiches. Whenever I hear that accent, it makes me smile.

Gilmor Homes is the only spot in the city where anyone tried to check me. I had my Amazon vest on walking into one of the courts. Saw group of people, men and women, trying to keep warm around a flaming trash can. I turn and start walking up a ramp to get to my customer's door and from behind me I hear "whichyo scared ass". I turn around and see this dude who, swear to God, looked exactly like Lil Jon. Dreads in his face, glasses on, grinning at me through his grillz. I looked to either side of me then put my index finger right up on my chest and he goes "yeah you!" And I go "my wife gets her hair done right there, man (pointed to one of the units, and I was speaking truth). What I gotta be scared of?" He goes : "SO!?" I turn back around trying to get to my customer and from behind me I hear him say "he tryin' to say he date black women." (I'm ayrab) I finish with my customer and head back and he looks at me and goes "you strapped?" I just smile and say "you folks have a wonderful night" and start walking back to my vehicle. From behind me I hear him say "oh that mean he strapped." True story, and I wish I knew that dude cuz he even though he was trying to check me he came across as mad chill and funny.
