So great that the local news broadcast devoted a substantial block of airtime to inform folks about this important exhibition. Joan Mitchell's place in the history of painting is secure, and the BMA's show lets people experience why that's so.

The Joan Mitchell Foundation is good info. In Canada, and with her 25-year artistic relationship with Jean Paul Riopelle. Like, ya know

Me and all of my kindergarten classmates made the exact same paintings. The talentless are being rewarded for less than effort.

An IGNORANT reply. Shows your lack of knowledge in art. To do what Joan Mitchell did take a lifetime of deeply felt music, emotions, poetry, I guess you need to see an apple to believe it's art. Makes me angry.

Anybody can paint like that there's no story behind that kind of abstract that's crazy. I don't see anyone buying them 🤣🤣.

Emotional and evocative, however not brilliant as would be considered brilliant pertaining to other more successful artists, but definitely worthy art nonetheless.
