I was laid up because of surgery when I discovered your videos on KZbin. You had already aired a couple of videos of the 5 acre pond build. I found your videos very interesting, so I went back and watched your previous videos to catch up. I haven’t missed a video since! I can hardly wait two weeks for a new video to come out. I really enjoy your content and your narration. I used to love to hunt and fish, but I’m now disabled and have a hard time getting around, walking on uneven ground is almost impossible for me. So I watch a lot of hunting and fishing content and get my pleasure of the outdoors through others. I enjoy seeing all the wildlife and watching you catch the bass and seeing the bass continue to grow. Keep up the great content, I look forward to every other Sunday evening to see a new video. My pond is a small wildlife pond made out of a child's paddling pool dug into a few feet of dirt, and laid onto a bed of sand. Obviously not big enough to keep bass in, but it's brought frogs, toads, birds, and even the occasional snake into the garden. Whilst I love your five acre pond project, a wildlife pond can be practically any size as long as your aim is to provide habitat for aquatic species to move into.

I started watching this channel and other pond contractors’ when I had the idea of having a koi pond in my backyard. They helped me gathering ideas for the type of build, budget, and maintenance etc. I ordered materials online & from home stores before digging. The build (mainly the digging) took two of us (woman in 50s & man in 60s) and two seasons (1 fall and 1 spring, unexpected tree roots from trees over 100 years old). By late spring of the second year, the koi fish and hyacinths were in the pond! It was pure joy watching the fish swimming, hyacinths blooming, and water falls (simple waterfalls in the beginning and later bog filters) running. Shortly after that, birds, frogs, groundhogs, raccoons, deer, hawks, buzzards... all started to come to our backyard. That’s the house project we’re proud of and enjoyed the most. The young family that purchased my property a couple of years ago also loved aquatic stuff. The husband always had a dream of owning his own pond, according to him.

Doesn't seem like it has been that long, till I see your daughter. She about 3 I think. Great video. I built my own pond a few years ago. Only about 1 acre but I dug it 12 feet deep. I bought a new Cat D3G dozer. I think $69,000 for it maybe a little more. I loved building the pond. Here in Central Texas you may only have 12 inches of top soil. I got lucky when I bought the land, there was a small creek running thru it so I dug down and then pumped 60,000 gallons a day around my pond so I could work with it dry. Then then one day I set my rake into to a crack in the bed rock and lifted a 5 foot by 6 foot slab that was 2 feet thick. When I got it up, I had water gushing up, so that was as deep as I was going. The pond filled over night. I love going out there and just watch the wildlife come around. That was the only pond for miles. Sometime 50 - 60 deer come to eat and drink. If you love animals, you start to feed them and you get more. I fell asleep in the lawn chair and had deer all around me. You have done a great job with this pond. Love the eagles.

Somehow I really appreciate knowing the fact that all this came from youtube revenue. I figured it was family money or something with the crazy cost of the project and it's heartwarming to know that you had a dream and found a way to make it happen. Thanks for everything you shared! I've enjoyed the series a lot although it's highly unlikely i'll ever own anything bigger than a little koi pond lol.

NO WAY for Cyber Truck. You know whether you mentioned price or not. People are gonna be envious and negative and critical and all of that stuff, so we're very happy to know how much it cost and so happy that you're blessed to be able to do it and share it with us. 'Specially since it's been worth it I think course I didn't pay for it 😅

I began to watch even prior to the construction of the 5-acre pond. I recall seeing the little backyard pond get built! I'm happy to see that you guys are still succeeding! Much respect and love, and keep going! I adore you two.

Appreciate you giving such a thorough breakdown of the build. I’ve been watching your channel since the first pond in your backyard. This channels become one of my goto channels, I’ve watched every episode/video. You’re one of the few creators who keeps a consistent schedule, and always goes above and beyond on all of your projects. I know things happen, but it gets frustrating when you watch a project for months, and the content creators suddenly stops midway to start on something else. You guys have earned every penny earned on social media, it’s awesome to hear you’ve been able to fund all of this from your content. I assumed this much, but didn’t know for sure. See ya in the next video, 🙏🏻🇺🇸.

Mr Beast is already under scrutiny for using those spinning wheels for entry of prizes. Those are considered gambling. I'm not trying to be negative and I really enjoy your channel. Just don't want to see you get caught up in some type of civil litigation

Why would you even mention a cringe channel like mr. beast here

I’ve been watching since you started digging the pond, and have absolutely loved the journey! I’m really sorry if you felt like you needed to share the price of this. Makes me sad that people can’t just enjoy that you’re willing to share this wonderful journey with us. Keep all the wonderful content coming! Thx for sharing!
