Everyone on 'Bama gave it their all, and played awesome. The deal breaker, in my opinion, was Najee Harris. He was the strongest link in this game, and took Ohio State behind the woodshed. After Smith was taken out, Harris was one of several players who really stepped up. Sorry, I meant "THE Ohio State" for those of you who wear your stupidity on your sleeves.

Thanks to having two of the greatest college football coaches in history, but I still wonder where Michigan State would be right now if they would've loosened the purse strings and got Saban to stay. If he would have stayed, I'm positive Mike Hart or any other Michigan player wouldn't have ever used the term "little brother" to describe the MSU football team.

The Super Bowl was a dud, as I was years ago living in the K.C. metro and their Q.B. with all his talent just ran backwards for several hundred yards. However, now living in Hoover, Alabama having had the privilege of having the new Alabama kicker cut my grass two times on Shades Crest Mt. and just to see him kick that ball every time through the up-rights was a thrill. Last year we could not buy a field goal. What a team Alabama has and praise is coming in even from those teams who we beat over the past year and before. Even with the Chinese virus Alabama played a full SEC schedule, while OSU played half the games and must have been well rested with less wear and tear than the Tide. Mac Jones was sure footed and the most accurate passer all year, while the whole offence and defense played their heart out, the little guy that shocked the world winning the Heisman Trophy and then unlike many Heisman winners exploded for three touchdowns in the first half. That wonderful humble young man will go far in life, regardless of what happens in the pros. Same with Najee Harris like all their players no bragging, no jive ass gestures or pretentious moves, just came to the game to do business. Alabama teams, thanks to outstanding coaching up as Nick Saban puts it, is the glue that hold them together! Bama has now 18 national championships, and coach Bear Bryant won six and now Saban has a total of seven, unmatched in college modern history. With yet another number one recruiting class this year, it could win the 19 national award, which is just sitting up there in very thin air! I plan on donating some money to Alabama to expand their trophy room! Do we love college ball down in the South? Hell yes we do!

Watching this tape for the second time, Ohio State really tried to get physical with Alabama. As we can see, it did not work. I am impressed with how the Alabama players' maintained their discipline on some very suspect plays and calls. Perhaps a little east coast bias here? I live on the west coast and find SEC foot is at another level. On another note, the team that got the short end of the stick was Texas A&M. Should have replaced Notre Dame or Ohio State.

I agree that the committee makes their decisions based entirely on revenue and ratings (although both have actually gone down in the playoff era). But Texas A&M didn't get left out for that reason - they're one of the wealthiest programs in the country and they have a massive fanbase. It's the Group of Five teams that have literally no shot. Some G5 teams can go undefeated and not even crack the committee's Top 10. Coastal Carolina finished 11-0 with more ranked victories than TAMU and wound up in the Cure Bowl at #12.
@barrymicockiner57733 жыл бұрын
@@BamaRewind I understand what you're saying and I'm all for an expanded playoff field. My issue is with the parity of college football. It is just not there like it is in college basketball. However, they deserve an opportunity to prove internet jerks like me wrong and bring in revenue for their conference.
