Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

I’m in Mobile and used to love Fort Morgan pier fishing. After spending the day fishing we would take the ferry over to Dauphin Island, do a little fishing behind the sealab before heading home. The new pier looks great!! We have grandkids now and don’t get to fish like we used to, especially since DI has made it impossible to fish from the shore now. Zero parking and beach access, it’s horrible. But your video has made me realize how desperate my soul needs to wet a hook.

Loving your videos! I've fished and guided (Salmon/Steelhead) up here in the Pacific Northwest for many years. I've always preferred and have taught other fisherman to use left hand retrieve reels (for righties). It feels odd at first but it's easy to 'teach' your left hand to go around in little tiny circles leaving your power hand to work the rod. When casting you leave the rod in the same hand and don't need to keep switching back and forth from casting to reeling.

Hopefully will get down there next year and get couple hundred whiting , white trout and beltfish . Those whiting are just good as our yellow perch and a lot easier to clean and make a killer po-boy or taco .🦈🦈🦈

I'm more of a live bait guy these days, but went to the local catwalk on a dam between freshwater and saltwater bay without. Around a dozen scattered along it with the flounder moving in. Some were catching one here and there while using live shrimp just laying on the bottom. I used a VUDU with casting it, lay, move 4-5 inches, lay 15-30 seconds, and had my 5 limit in less than half an hour. There were some attitudes around as I left. They could of been doing the same thing with their live shrimp-when the pin fish weren't stripping it off the hook-but weren't.

I noticed that you mention that fish will hang out around structures when the water is not cold. In a wheelchair 260 miles from the gulf means I don't get down there but a friend suggested he would take me when he goes on vacation in December. I have never been to the Gulf around Christmas. What is fishing like on the piers or anywhere in or near Gulf Shores that is wheelchair accessible? I still have my salt water fishing gear.

Hi mate, I hope you’re well! Did you manage to get down there to fish in the end? I know what it’s like to not be able to go fishing, I’ve been having some mobility issues myself but I’m making an effort now, I’ve been twice in the last month or so, first times in around 12 years. The worst part is that the sea is just a short walk away, so close yet so far, lol 🙂 🤝 🎣

The best fish attractor at this location is that jetty! And signs prohibit casting over to it to get in on the great fishing it provides. It’s easy to understand the conflict between boat propellers/seals and fishing line. No questions there. But when boats are not present, like in this great video, it seems like they need to modify their thinking on the rules overreach. A sign prohibiting fishing when boats are present would be what is needed. Just sayin… Your Mom usually puts it to you when you bring her along… We’re you holding back? Always good to see you two fishing together! Thanx!
