UPDATE ON THE TAGGED SNAPPER: "It was originally tagged by one of our samplers on August 8, 2023. It had 93 Days at liberty before it was recaptured by you on November 24, 2023. At the time of tagging, the snapper was 14.9 inches to the fork. The fish was caught over natural bottom at an average depth of 35 meters and presented with mild barotrauma. It was vented via a syringe style venting tool and swam away without issue. The reef you caught this snapper from is approximately 10 nautical miles from the spot it was released with a tag." If you ever catch one, be sure to measure it, and write the tag info down but leave the tag in the fish (if you release it). Then report the tag at www.outdooralabama.com/swtags. Thanks me too! And it all depends on sea conditions. If it's fairly calm and I'm running around 35 mph+, usually 40-45 minutes. Not too bad

Spectacular Barracuda attack I did some stop footage and I can't see how it didn't fall in the boat it certainly did some aerial maneuvers to get back in the water / You mentioned about getting hit with the Barracuda it has happened and there was a bite and it was extreme! I now would include more bandages even a pack of tshirts for severe wounds just in case of that fluke moment / That's just me and I'm not getting caught short of aid

Those micro jigs are straight fire!! Mustad makes a 30g that has an assist hook and a treble. Cast it or drop it down. It doesn't matter. It's gonna get eaten!!! That cuda almost got you in the process. Cool video, keep pumping them out! Just bought a new 87" MK Terrova to go on my Saltwater boat.

Dude, please be very, very careful with that Lithium Ion battery. If it gets wet throw it overboard immediately. I have lost a friend to a lithium ion battery. Absolutely terrible what happened. I also own a service shop in Crystal River at Pete’s Pier and we just recently had 2020 26 Yellowfin Hybrid burn to the water line because the lithium battery went into thermal runway while on the charger. BE CAREFUL!!!!!

I have been looking at those Daiwa jigs in the tackle shop but haven't bought any. Too cheap I guess. You are right about those hooks. If they had just put triple x hooks they would be fine. It is strange the Almaco's didn't go after the banana jig. We have had good luck with them. I slowed the video down to .25 speed and got a great look at the cuda. You were very lucky. On Sammy Hitzke's channel he had a wahoo chase a popper and from the bow the wahoo cleared the center console and landed in the stern of the boat.

Definitely some lite hooks for sure. I didn't work the banana jig too quick, I believe that's why. and these speedy fish like kings, cuda, and wahoo are amazing to see ! Thanks for commenting !
