Will 100% be sitting down to watch this. The CGI effects look fantastic! For some reason before the movie started filming, I thought they were gonna use practical effects. But Bambi looks awesome. Also the director is someone named Dan Allen.

So this is basically "Moose Jaws" with Jason Voorhees vibes (getting revenge on the killer of his mother) & the "main character" monster is a wendigo/zombie deer? Technically wasn't the original "Bambi" book already a blood bath? (With most of the kills coming from poachers & the hunting dogs) And some had considered the Disney movie already a soft Horror movie with the poachers being portrayed as invisible supernatural beings with creepy music to accompany them. Bottom line, they didn't need to make Bambi be the killer to make it a "Horror" movie 🙄, just make a more faithful adaptation of the original book. It could still be a Horror movie, just let be a psychological Horror movie in the animals' point of view on hunters/poachers.

I'm just irritated that they're doing a new Sleeping Beauty movie instead of trying to get the rights for Beauty from The Curse of Sleeping Beauty, which is a terrible movie - all of the budget when into Briar Rose's dream sequences and wardrobe, which look amazing, but also serve to highlight just how shitty the rest of the movie looks - but it was a terrible movie with a great payoff, imo. Much like with the movie Farmhouse (2008), the last few minutes totally make the rest of the film worth suffering through. I want to see THAT Beauty in this universe!

To be fair the CGI deer flipping the car didn't look to bad for low budget and it looks like they may have made Kevin Smith's MooseJaws movie before he ever got round to it.
