In case you don't know : Latcho Drom means 'Good journey' in Romani language.

@ytcarol This is actually the reason why the film is called Latcho drom which litteraly means "nice journey" or "nice trip" in Romani language. I first saw this movie when I was in high school, one of the first Gatliff I saw with Gadjo dilo. Until now, these two remains my favourites.

Real ETHNIC Gypsies are actually originally from north western India. Modern Linguists and Ethnologists have pretty much pinpointed their Language as originating from Northern India, and it is related to Indo European (Aryan) languages spoken there, although Roma has been much altered over time.
