We sang this for the ASU leadership choir. I was a bass. Best part of the song is how low the bass gets and the sopranos get so high

love this song. I already have a choral song of death and now famine. all I need is pestilence and war and I'll have the 4 horsemen

One bass is really sticking out. I know it's a chamber chorus, but too much. Otherwise, fantastic as everyone has said. You guys do well switching from dominant to submissive harmonies. Your conductor taught you well. The one tenor needs a slight review on belting the semi-high E. You need to use the mentality of the full-volume to approach the note, but you need to cut back just a hair and open the top of your sinuses to make the resonance deepen. Altos, brava. More Bass. Well Done Sopranos.

the soloists have beautiful tone quality...but a pure AH would be nice as well as a bit more blend. Wonderful performance overall!

My choir's going to state this year with this song and this is an amazing version of this piece. I love the dynamics on the "rains" and good sound. Only thing that could have used some work was the placement of your voices to make it sound more authentic, but otherwise it was amazing.

The basses sounded like baritones. But they're probably a younger group. It was lovely otherwise.😊

There are some pitch issues throughout, the speed feels too fast - it's famine, not a party. But overall, quite nice. Especially for such a young group.

I think it's too operatic... it's supposed to be soulful... it's a struggle.. My choir is doing this tomorrow night, I'm in the descant duet... and I love how we do it.

it's supposed to be lamenting, that's why they sounded like that :) but you're right it was amazing

The duet was fantastic but the tenors stuck out of the texture more than necessary.

Singing this in college our professor tells us how to feel about the song. The first rains are a plea to have it rain. sounds like you are happy and rejoicing. Save it for the end. Great otherwise!

My middle school choir is singing this song at a competition on saturday. I'm quite worried. We can't get hardly anyone to sing out and the descant got their parts this week. I'm hoping and praying this and our other song, Plachido e el mar, will turn out well. Very good job. I loved it. I wish the people in my choir would be a bit more serious with it so we could attempt to sound close to that. Bravo. =]
