Why don't you just tell people they can buy a vinyl blocker at their local hardware store. They sell them in various widths. I have a lot of different types of bamboo in my yard and they work great even against running bamboo. If you run a barrier around your patch you can grow anything you want without issues. I run a barrier that blocks up to 36 inches deep and I've never had any encroachment problems.

find a bamboo patch on the side of the road theyy are everywhereoutside of the cities, then come back in spring and harvest the shoots but youhave to time it fast think they grow fast in late spring thats when they are still soft

I have a large area of bamboo. It dies every winter and grows up to 25ft in the summer then repeats. Doesn’t bother me or cause problems.

Having a huge bamboo is good you can harvest the bamboo shoots and cook it

Bamboo is incredibly easy to control. And to do so with zero chemicals.

Bamboo has a very short root system. 3' barrier is overkill. More like 10" should do the trick

Just plant clumping bamboo if you dont want it to get out of control.
