Hi, Great video & I thank you for your effort. I have some observation and questions to share: - 1. In earlier Slides you said India is importing Bamboo at 12000/ton ie. Rs.12/Kg But in your mathematics sheet you are multiplying 30kgs of 1 Culm with Rs. 2.5/kg? ... Why such huge difference? 2. You are showing expense with 1000 plants but profit with 850 plants but still substracting expense as per 1000 plants? ...Why? 3. You are adding cost of fence and water motor - Rs. 50,000 every year? ...Why? 4. Bamboo leaves itself acts as a fertiliser. Even then say If we add american kechua (insects) they will turn the manure and the leaves of the bamboo into fertiliser. If you already know this then Why are you suggesting spending on fertiliser? Does bamboo needs fertiliser after 1.5 year? 5. you have not added cost of labour after 2nd year? .. why? 6. Shouldn't you account for price increase inflation after 6 years or 10 yrs. We can't expect price to remain same for the next 16 yrs ? ?

1. Import rate is always higher. 2.5/Kg is rate which many company are giving you in writing in advance, which will always be on lower side. 2. i have taken 15% mortality rate, at the same time expenses are calculated on higher side. 3. No fence & motor cost is one time only 4. Yes you are right, that's why fertilizer cost is taken on minimum side. Considering 1 acre land mentioned cost of fertilizers will help in better production, although efforts to lower the same can help bring down the cost. 5. Labor cost shall be there. 6. absolutely, price increase will add into higher profits, although the calculations are done on conservative side.

On 6th year cost is 5 lac +12 lac=17 lac.earning on 6th year is 4 lac. How there is profit on 6th year ? I think profit will start after 10 years.

I had planted bamboo on periphery of my farm. Now its six years crop. I didn't gave manure after 1st year. I cut some of the baamboos from ground height, 8 months before. Now cut part started growing fastly. Please guide me about growing of baamboos in correct manner.

Tissue culture plant is around Rs.35 only at max. Per acra, the spacing should be atleast 12*12 (Not more than 250 plants(for bigger species) smaller species (350 per acra) are recommended. Based on my figures, you need to adjust cost and revenues which has very big difference.

Hi, great job with the video & explanation. But I have some doubts regarding calculations: 1.) In 2nd year cost, you have written 'Care taker/Gardner for 12 months' cost as 5000 PER MONTH so that should be 5*12=60000 per annum, But in Total cost, you have added just 5000 only. 2.) You have added 'Fence & motor' cost of Rs 50,000 in 2nd year also. So What I have concluded here is that you have added care taker cost as Rs 5000 only, which should be 60000 & added Motor & fencing cost of 50000 extra, which shouldn't be there in 2nd year. So basically there is not much change in Total cost. It's just these amount as mis-placed as I observed.

1) That's per acre / per year a caretaker can manager much more land in one year. 2) motor cost = you have to provide water to trees so he has added only 50000 for motor cost. excluded 100000 fencing cost

Hi no doubts it's a informative video but wanted to know usually bamboo we sell per tree/stick like 20-25feet market price is around 100-200rs so farmer can sell it for 50rs . I didn't get the Rs/KG price . Might be this is because I never researched about it. 2- can you help with a video of how to market it . Whom to sell it, who would give the best price. Pushing up revenue, because the expenses are high is not a wise idea. It would be around 1 Lakh for me. A. 1 Lakh Rupee per year Fertilizer per Acre? This is not real. A plant can only take certain quantiity of fertilizer. Remaining all will be wasted. You only give fertilizer may be 6 times a year. 1 KG Fertilizer per plant each time? It is not right. (20K - 30k) B. 30,000 for Manure? No need to buy rs 3 KG vermi Compost. You can easily get $ rs 1 per KG (we are Farming Bamboo, not growing in Garden to buy maure at Rs 3 per kg) (15k - 20K) C. Cost of Pesticides - Are you going ti apply 5-10L pesticide per year per acre? Really? Bamboo is very tolerent to pests. D. Cost per plant is Rs 25-50 (based on the Plant Age). If you buy 1.5 years old plant @ rs 50, then your harvesting starts after 4 years, not 6 years. (Actual Cost 40K - 50K) E. 1 Lakh Fencing Cost. Can't believe this. Bamboo (Bamboosa Bambo/Katinga) itself is used as fencing for other crops. Also we do not find Boars all over India. Actuals - 10K (Border Preparation) F. Motor Cost - Rs 50,000 per acre? If it is just one acre, rs 20,000 motor is enough. If you are planting 5 acres, it would cost rs 10,000 per acre. Actuals 10K - 15K G. Drip does not cost Rs 50,000 - Actual 30K - 35K. Many lands does not need a drip, like mine, We have Flood Irigation for 10 months.
