@@Madhiegm The emptiness will pass with time. It is a difficult place to be in, but everything passes and everything changes. I'm very glad you enjoy being yourself, this is gold. You spent a lifetime in the care of others and now it is time nurture your passions. It can be done little by little, there is no rush, but it does require some commitment. Make sure to meditate daily and go within, the Universe is inside you. You currently have the feeling of emptiness because of the losses you've suffered, but in reality you are the opposite of emptiness. Spend time in Nature and connect with nature. The more you tune into the fact that you are the river, the tree, the mountains, the beautiful creatures, the less empty and alone you will feel. Above all... Trust yourself and trust that you will get through this, no matter how it appears currently. Make you to see a counselor for talk therapy, if you can and just day one day at a time.

This music fills me with both inspiration and sadness! This October 22 will be 7 years that my wife took her last breath as cancer ravaged her organs! Though I walked countless miles in defeat afterwards, at times barely accepting my very existence life slowly began to make sense when I finally realized where love was truly coming from. Its not about what I perceive is good or bad but my true and honest acceptance of Jesus Christ into my life. All that is beautiful and loving is from our Lord. As a child, I found peace and contentment sitting by the lake and listening to frogs, birds, insects. Musical instruments were not needed. Now, 60 years later, I live in the inner city in a tall noisy apartment building. Outside, the dominant sound is car traffic, police sirens, screaming and fighting people, boom boxes belching vulgar rap. Now musical instruments are needed with the aid of a wifi tablet. Our world has become perverse. I will cherish these few moments of escape with you.

Hello Kathleen, I smiled as I read your comment as I have experienced the same. Watching as a kid a gentle brook flow effortlessly down stream, listening to birds chirp happily in the treetops, I decided at the age of 52 after living most of my adulthood in a concrete jungle to do something about it and moved to the east coast of Canada! Open oceans that crash against the shoreline rocks, the taste and smell of sea salt, trails that weave through magical forest and sailboats that gingerly propel forward by harnessing the wind to that unknown destination. May you find your "real" home soon. God Bless!

Have you ever tired HESYCHASM? An ancient mystical Christian tradition that is forgotten and lost. A simple prayer is repeated in meditation for long periods, which helps to purify and illuminate the heart. Once illuminated a person can see Gods uncreated light and reaches a state of ecstasy. I tried 20 min morning and night for a week. Was blown away by the beautiful spiritual experiences.
