Bamboo is such an invasive species! I bought land where someone planted it in the name of having fishing poles! Ive tried for 6 years to get rid of it and it’s a loosing battle. People should not be encouraged to plant this stuff or think bamboo is a forest. Go to china if you want to see a bamboo forest. Bamboo forest is an oxymoron.

Bamboo is very invasive! I have it in my yard from before I bought property. I’ve cut and cut and sprayed and cut… you can’t get rid of it and it spreads like crazy! It’s not a forest! It’s a bad bad bad weed! We don’t have things that eat it here in the US

Just like kudzu is taking over mountainside here in the smoky mtns. It’s all from china! It doesn’t belong here! Nothing to eat it as fast as it grows!

Oh sorry you had such a bad experience with them . I think Sandra ..have you thought about selling them ? The young bamboo shoot sell it to the local Asian groceries or farmer market . people love organic grown bamboo shoot to make a good meal . The full grown ones list it somewhere as material to build . There’s community of people that goes off grid or air bnb business owners would love to buy them for building theme structures . The leaves can be crafted into many useful things that can be sold at art events . since you have abundance of them mind as well make some money right ? good luck to ya 🍀
