While in the air force me and a good friend went a camping trip trip to mount wittney in lone pine California. Half way up the mountian was a abandoned cabin. Left on the rafters was cans of food left by others. With a note asking to leave some food if we had it, but were welcome to what ever was left if we needed it. That night we heard this noise , that scared us. Shined a flashlight looklng for what ever it was. Turned out to be a kingerro mouse. I laughed so hard there were tiers in my eyes. What a great memory. That was i 1960 . Im 82 years old now. The memories are still very vivid in my mind. Today i thank god for those experiences. P.S. please excuse any typos.

I remember several decades ago I to climbed Mount Whitney. I went from sea level to about 10 -11,000 feet in a matter of 6-7 hours. I got such altitude sickness I thought I was gonna die. It still was a great memory, BTW, I’m 60 now just a bit behind you, my friend. God bless you.

Classic statement “If it doesn’t pay you back, at least you die an honest man.” Second, he’s in great shape to climb up there in snow that deep! What a suffer-fest! Thanks for your enjoyable get-away from the everyday, but man! Don't forget the skis or snowshoes next time, please! Your positive mental attitude conquers everytime! I felt I had overshared my connection to your content, and how we share genetic neighborness, but then you bring us to the most amazing places where terrible history reminds us that wars suck! And you rekindle our belief in the indelible spirit of the brethren of all mankind. That was such a religious- like experience for me. Alot of the early day paragliders were children of or had been children themselves during the second world war in that italian(french) , border regions. And meeting eachother at the end of the cold war, was the last time I had felt that kind of friendship. One that doesn't fear and loath others, but begs the question of how do humans get to that point? When we are all so similar, and enjoy achieving the very same victories. Another peace victory for Andraz! Bringing a divisive world back together around the fire at his bivys' hearth. Peace and love to you my most meaningful fellow, in this day and age where meanings are meaning, less. The camera was okay, but I think gopro makes colors richer, like fujichrome use to be nicer than bleaker kodak(slidefilm) Great adventuring, you are an artist beyond borders!
