Hi Mr, J, Very nice cabinet. I have used chop sticks in the past for dowels and they work well too. I was wondering what the spiecies of wood was that you used for most of it. From the cross grain, it looked a bit like mahogany but the color seemed wrong. Thanks for the video! -mike

It probably is mahogany you get red and brown coloured depending where it is from.

Honestly, I've been doing this for years because of some of the ridiculous prices of things. 100x 10" Bamboo skewers cost about 1~2 dollars; while on the other hand, the same amount and size dowels can run between 9~10$.

You take us through an entire video building a record cabinet only to show this bamboo dowel thing at the last 10 seconds. I don't like click baiting. Your title is a bit misleading.
