10:01 I noticed some differences on the horns. I am guessing the cooling is slightly better on the P1P

Good notice. Yes, I agree, and this may explain that window on the benchy

The horns and under the cheeks are not so great on the A1. Perhaps that can be dialed in to improve?

A HUGE Asterix with the price: you compare prices of the A1 COMBO with the AMS Lite, with the P1P WITHOUT AMS. I think that makes a BIG difference! Please make sure to mention this in a pop up because this is quite a big difference.

I've an A1 with AMS lite which i purchased 1 week after it's debut. I replaced the recalled heatbed when bambu shipped the replacement heatbed. I love the A1 series. It's super easy to use and it was also my first printer. I liked it so much that i also bought the A1 Mini and another Ams Lite when they were on sale. I've nothing else to compare them to, but i just love them. They are super easy to work on too. I can change nozzles fast and I've even replaced the extruder gears which was pretty easy too.

I just put the new bed on my A1 this morning. Being that it is my only multi-material printer, I was still using it the last couple months. If I had more money at the moment, I would bought an AMS for my P1S during this sale, along with the $120 credit they gave me for waiting. would've been like $200USD after tax. But I paid just $7 shipping, on 8 kilos of PLA for my A1 instead. Having an AMS to use with ABS/ASA is something that I could use though.

Thank you for measuring the amount of waste that is generated with the color changing. As a bonus you showed a dual color cow that demonstrates what can be done with single color printers and clever design.

For your students, show them the Ender 3, how everything is pieced together, manual bed leveling, feeding, extrusion, and the whole manual package. Then, you can show them the bambulab, and ask them how they would solve all of the problems that now bambulab gives for granted. Your students will be the mechanical, electrical, hardware and software engineers of the future, and as engineers, they should be given a chance to appreciate all the technical details, and awesome technologies that now we can get out of the box, so that they can make the next iteration. Your students are lucky to have you!

8:01 did that print on the A1 Mini profile? Or did you catch it and just didn't re-record the shot? lol I do that all the time. I'm always slicing things for the wrong printer. At least until I saved profiles with the names to my printers. Christian(50 Shades Of Gray P1S), Karen(Hot Headed A1), Alicia(P!nk Ender 3 S1 Pro), Barry(The FLASHforge AD5M). They all have Gold Printed nameplates.

Oh, yes. I even re-record the shot, but inserted the wrong one in the video, but the time is the same. I got the worning when I wanted to sent to printing, so I noticed only then.

It could be quite interesting to make a 3-way comparison: Surface quality near the bed, same surface 25 cm high up when the bottom of the print is light (Maybe 100g) and as the third option, the same surface 25 cm high up when the bottom of the print is heavy (maybe 400g). I wonder how well the vibration compensation will work in those cases because it's calibrated when the bed is empty. But no matter the result, I think it is a fantastic printer.

@@eaman11 I agree. Would be interesting though to see how much of it, maybe depending on printing speed. I've started to do some test myself.

as far as the price you are not comparing apples to apples.. it seems the difference is only 10 USD BUT.... the P!P is 499 with NO ams while the A1 is 489 WITH the compact AMS.

I noticed that too. Thanks for pointing that out.

I credit my Ender-3 V2 with teaching me much, much more about how 3d printers work than I would've had to learn with a printer that wasn't needing continual repairs and upgrades 😂. I absolutely would not recommend it for someone looking to get a 3D printer as a tool. I've enjoyed tinkering with it, but I definitely spend less time actually printing than I'd like. (14:56)

@Red.exe76 ай бұрын
Why is it better?
@jesusochoa37216 ай бұрын
@@Red.exe7 i think the p1s is louder and it doesn’t take cardboard spools. Its the same build size at the a1, but the a1 is $400 cheaper. Unless you only print in things that need an enclosure the bed slingers work perfectly.

Core XY is completely unnecessary and over complicated for 90% of users. Unless you’re printing large objects very quickly, you probably don’t need the hassle and cost of a CoreXY. A custom bed slinger has made a Benchy in 1 min 59 secs without a heated bed, so I think bed slingers are underrated.
@daymianhayes24935 ай бұрын
Bed slingers are slow POS's compared to CoreXY. The Anycubic Kobra 3 can only print at half the speeds of my budget Flashforge Adventurer 5M. I returned the Kobra 3 because it was a slow POS that requires like double the space because of the bed slinging. Bed slingers will eventually completely die off
