Having my eyes on the P1P for a while now. First I was interested in the speed. Now I am impresed with the print quality right out of the box. For me a 3D printer is a tool. It is fun to tinker with your first printer, but after a while it just gets annoying. Now I only want it to work flawless.

i got one about a month or so ago and have been running it a lot and my only problems were a couple prints didnt stick to the bed, but i fixed it by just adding a raft

@@Zand3rrrI’ve had the same problem. I just wash the plate in warm soapy water and that takes care of it too.

The plate "Holder" is intended to be used as an alignment tool and then a tool to aid in applying the new surface when changing out the replaceable top sheets on the build plate.

I've had similar problems with TPU on other printer. TPU tends to absorbe moisture from the air, drying it at 55°C for about 5 hours resolved my issues.

Hey Guy! I actually just picked this printer up, and was interested in the TPU too. I'm not going to try it yet since I'm an engineering student and haven't really found applications to use TPU yet, but it does state on their site that the TPU needs to be dried first. I didn't hear any mention of drying the filament, but that could cause some layer/adhesion problems like I'm seeing on some of your prints. Might be worth giving another try!

hard to see from the video, but how visible are layer lines? How much post processing work would it take to make things look like commercial plastic, or compared to resin?

I’m surprised about the TPU, though I went with eSun’s recommended settings and they’re more conservative with speeds than Bambu. I do have to make sure I manually cut the filament and unload without heating the extruder, otherwise it clogs pretty much immediately… but since there’s a workaround I’m not too fussed about it. I’ve never used anything outside of PLA and TPU though so it’s really cool to see how well it handles the rest!

How would you rate this versus the Neptune 4 Pro? I am torn between the two buy don’t mind spending extra if it means more consistent prints and being able to print over wifi and monitor prints via the camera

I have a Neptune 3 and honestly I just can’t handle the fact that Elegoo are literally releasing a new printer every 3 months. It means there’s zero responsibility going into firmware development. What you see is what you get until the next printers. Elegoo’s support has been good but at least with the P1P there’s a path to making it more than it is. There’s so many upgrade options and you literally get none with elegoo outside of what you can get on Amazon and then you’re on your own.

Just ordered P1P, how is it in printing big TPU models with fast speeds ? is it possible with this printer ? and what settings would you recommend for TPU ? the generic TPU settings are pretty low on speed =/ much lower on what I can achieve with my Anycubic Kobra

It's missing more important things from the X1C than the Lidar: *hardened* steel nozzle and *hardened* steel extruder drive-wheels for one. You'll have to upgrade to those if you want to print carbon-filled stuff...
