Really enjoyed that Paul. I have only ever been to this area in the height of summer (for trips to photograph puffins on the Farnes) when sunrise is just a bit too early for a trip to the beech. I think I'm going to have to consider a autumn or spring trip. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Paul, it was a cracking sunrise. Didn't realise that was you on the beach by stag rock. Images look great, it's interesting to see how we all see something differently. I left after the sun came up above the cloud and went to the south side of the castle. Didn't realise you had followed me into Alnwick though lol.

It was I arrived late to the party, the dude on the right. You know I never even noticed your go pro set up there. And you dont have to be 50 to assume everyone is a student i'm 42 and have been doing it for at least 7 years (I do come from Durham though, where everyone is a student) chuckle.

BTW Paul - good for you in acknowledging that flying a drone where you were may contravene the National Trust rules. Appreciate it was a tough call but being a responsible photographer is a good thing. Thumbs up!

Hi Paul, nice video. A question for you, was the shot of Bamburgh castle (just before you picked up your Go Pro) with a High or Low Tide?? Can you remember? I'm going up soon and want to know what to expect. Thanks Mark.

Hi Mark - the tide was almost fully out by that time. For stills, time your visit with a 3/4 out tide. This 'usually' makes the sand very reflective as it's still wet. Wishing you glorious sunrises on your visit :)

What a cool location. That lighthouse is awesome. Photo look great and your video is very informative. Keep them up. Question, do you think the second shot would of looked better vertical? If you cropped out everything on the sides, all that would be left is the stream leading your eye to the sun(light source) as well as the castle.

I edited it that very way too Jeremy, but video aspect doesn't really lend itself to too many portrait photos. As a print, I'd agree with you though.

Just out of interest Paul, do you have any kind of grad filter on the GoPro for your timelapse?

sgpatt1969 No, just a standard GoPro 4 Black. I do use Protune to improve dynamic range though.

As many Chemtrails then as there are now, surely everybody knows what's going on now.
