I'm just writing this to clear things up since I see the eng subs is the problem. You don't see a single korean hating on this context because they hear what he's actually saying. He says he's been a fan of taeyeon since 2010. And proceeds that he recently became a fan of 2 ppl He uses 입덕 which means entering a fandom and still emphasizes "as a fan" and asks not to misunderstand him. He says winter and haerin and continues that their songs are healing. Then says seems like he likes bob hair. At the game he chose haerin over nayeon ( not nayeon from twice... It's transit love lee nayeon) and says but "she's too young so..." What he's trying to say is since she's young ppl might misunderstand. That's exactly what he was worried might happen. He simply chose an ideal type and a bias but felt like it's misleading said "it's dangerous" and tried to explain and pongja says "I chose park seojoon it's not like I'm gonna do anything to him!" I see how you might interpret it but the way I see and understand the situation, it's just out of fandom. It's your choice how to take this but the way I know BB this is not like him at all.

Exactly! Tbh the eng subtitles are the problem, they make the conversation sound much creepier than it actually was. Bambam said she’s “still very young” (not “too young”) after picking her which makes more sense than what the subtitles said, because he then went on to explain that it’s dangerous to pick an ‘ideal type’ because people will misunderstand him. And then he continued his explanation by clarifying that he picked her because he’s a fan of her music and not because of…other reasons.

He did not name-drop or choose her out of blue. “Why can’t he name older women?” “Why chose minor?” Again - it was choosing game. He was given two choices and they did talk about the ladies earlier. It wasn’t out of pocket to name them, like how they talked about PSJ 11:30 and BamBam kept giving him as a choice for Poongja. 12:37 He immediately felt uncomfortable and was the one to point out that she’s a minor, but he was pushed (which is wrong thing to do here) to pick under the guise of “with a fan’s heart” and “it’s not like you’re going to do something” 3. 12:53 BamBam was asked to choose again. So from what I understood: they actually started playing the "Ideal type world cup", a game where the person needs to pick the celebrity who the are the most romantically attracted to, BUT as they kept playing, they agreed to "change the rules"/"change the choosing criteria" so Bambam started picking the celebrity whose music he is a fan of (Bambam even said NJ's songs are healing him) then after Haerin, Bambam chose Pungja (the interviewer) over Haerin bc t he said he depend on her for the rest of his life (changing the choosing criteria again, hope with this people realize BamBam wasnt choosing the person who he is the most attracted too, just at the beggining, but then he kept changing the choosing criteria, Pungja even got offended saying "Everyone go home first","The conclusion is that for me you want me to go out and work for you") and finally he just concluded saying he is actually attracted to Winter and Taeyeon bc he like girls who look good on a bob haircut, it doesnt seem bad, this video was posted one month ago and the comments in korean are positive and supportive. BamBam is such a kind hearted individual. He always has a way of making other ppl around him comfortable & at ease. But like always there are bullies online who twist his motives and words to make themselves look good. @@mans5676 Firstly, BamBam didn’t pick Haerin as an ideal type. He picked her bc he’s a fan. Poongja said he can pick her as a fan (and not as an ideal type). He also said she’s “too young”, as in she’s too young be mentioned in this type of game. Meaning he was uncomfortable with it. He clarifies this & why he mentioned her. Throughout the game, their actual ideal type is discussed. But even when Winter & Karina are brought up BamBam mentions afterwards that he’s only a fan of them too. That they’re like sisters to him and their music is healing. The conversation is not linear, it jumps around. The main thing I find weird is that Poongja would even mention Haerin in the first place bc we all know things can be taken out of context & twisted like BamBam said. I can see how ppl can misunderstand what he & Poongja meant bc the conversation jumps around like any conversation. Also there’s probably mistranslations due to the fact that translating any language to another is not always exact. Secondly, If someone needed clarification on what he meant and they actually cared about the truth then they would’ve done their own proper research. Such as watching the whole video (more than once if needed), reading comments clarifying what he said in Korean, reading comments abt what Poongja said etc. If a person just needed clarification they’d comment with a genuine question(s) abt their confusion. But rather the user you’re replying to only cared abt their own narrative & spreading it instead of just asking. They are spreading their own negative energy everywhere in the comment section of this video so I am returning it. I don’t have any sympathy or patience for any ppl spreading their own narrative and misinfo bc it’s defamation. I can see how you’re trying to come at this in an inquisitive manner so I will also return that energy. But at the end of the day, I know what BamBam meant and he’s not what these cesspool bullies say he is. I will defend him bc I care abt him. There’s no “rumors” when it’s people taking issue with the words he said, out of his own mouth on camera. If he didn’t mean it like that, he should’ve clarified afterwards. He should’ve picked Naeyeon. He should’ve apologized and said what he actually meant and further clarified once the backlash started. or bambam things went like this 1. He said he was recently into 2 people and he only likes them as a fan. It was Ae winter and NJ haerin 2. It was an ideal type world cup 3. If we was just picking people based on looks , then it makes sense picking haerin. 4. I felt he was just picking someone looking close to his ideal type. Because he mentioned in the showterview that he would rather date a 10 year older women 5. But in the first round he was explaining he didn't pick haeun because she Is like a sister (This is where people understood he was talking about ideal types in the sense of relationship, benefit of doubt that he gave explaination because he knows the people in person) 6. In the next round he picked hearin after confirming she was from NJ (given the benefit of doubt , he just picked her based on looks, but from the round before peopele interpreted it differently) 7. Here he opens the door for people to criticise him more 8. He proceeded to say "But she is too young so …" (and he cut off here when he was about to say something more. The moment he said that he started realising something was wrong. This made things worse because he left his explanation in half, but again people just saw the ss and twisted it more. So he didn't bring up this ) 9. Then he said "Ah , wait a minute that’s right" (he realised he wasn't supposed to pick her, THIS WAS MISSED OUT IN THE ENG SUBS) ("아, 잠깐만 그러게 그) (그러게 - Someone who understands this words exact usage let me know) 10. Then he says it was dangerous (He realises created a misunderstanding + people would cancel him) 11. Then Poongja says it was okay to pick her with a fans heart. But the damage was already done. 12. Him saying he would pick hearin if it was out of fandom in the next round, just made people think he was using it as a shield to cover up his mistake 13. And between winter and poongja he was calculating stuff in the head about criteria for ideal type realistically, but after poongja said you are acting as if you are choosing your parents , he started picking his ideal types like a game 14. I feel he was a bit out if it(drunk/high/sometimes thinking , sometimes not) while playing this game. He did say his mind went blank , one of the moments 15. I feel haerin was picked because she was his favourite idol. But Bambam's flow of the conversation caused people to misunderstand him. But he should have been clear on what basis he was picking his ideal types , before picking them. Then people would have been less harsh. 16. He should have monitored the clip before having it uploaded. The people who were editing the clip should have excluded it

I think since Korea didn't misunderstand his saying at all,the editors also didn't see anything wrong with it. Reasons why they left it in I don't see how this got to where it's gotten. It really is t hard to understand that he wasn't trying to marry her. Seems like some people just need a new target every week and he was the one up for grabs. But most of the poeple who pointed him out were on twitter just spreading those screenshots making half assed assumptions 2. But again If you watch the video , its understandable why a misunderstanding could be caused. 3. I mean from the first round of the game they were talking about ideal types from a relationship point of view. the guy gave an explanation saying he couldn't pick haeun because she is like his sister 4. In the next round he picks haerin after confirming its from new jeans. I mean if he had clarified the reason immediately(like if he said he picked her because of looks/he is a fan) , people wouldn't have pointed out. But he says "she is too young so..." .Like he was literally talking about ideal types in the sense of relationships the round before. Like he shouldn't have said it if we wasn't going to complete the sentence, because it made the damage worse and then bambam himself says it was dangerous because they were talking about ideal types in the sense of relationships. Like he did say he was her fan before. but they are talking about ideal types here, so that didn't help bambam because he didn't clarify immediately 5. Until the guest mentions that he could pick her as a fan he didn't get that idea. and then says in the next round hew would pick her out of fandom. 6. And the rest of the game he was talking about ideal types in that relationship. But again i feel he picked karina and winter based on looks and said if were a long time relationship, he would pick the guest 7. Like only people who knew him from a long time know he didn't mean in that way but people who saw this video of bambam , without knowing much about him would obviously misunderstand, but you can't blame them, because its understandable why they misunderstood him. I mean this isn't a rookie idol speaking, An artist who is in the 9th year into the industry. He should have given some thought before saying anything.

In the next round he mentioned if it is out of fandom haerin , realistically poongja. 7. I mean the misunderstanding occured in the haerin vs nayeon round. There he didn;t clear up anything and went into a dillema moments later he picked her. Poongja just told he could pick her as a fan. 8. I mean at the end of the day is a 9 year old idol and an adult. The guy should have been experienced enough to handle this more properly. Only people who know him well enough knows he didn't mean any harm there. I mean realistically he wouldn't even date her , because he mentioned he would date someone older. But again its understandable why people are misunderstanding . He never clarified why did he pick her in haerin vs nayeon round 9. I intially thought people were twisting his words. I saw the video around 10 times to understand what really happened. Just the parts where he mentions he is their fan and the ideal game world cup. Like the part where he said "But she is still too young so..." throws me off. Because i am not able to understand what he was going to say there. I mean even if he picked her and left it would have been fine . But in the round before he was talking about ideal type in a relationship sense . him saying this phrase "But she is still too young so...". Made people think he was going to explain something in that sense. People who don't know him that well would obviously misunderstand him
