I would recommend you to buy hard copies as these books are intellectual assets. 1984( against totalitarian govt), sapiens ( history of mankind), the second sex( this book inspired feminist revolution), the god delusion (atheism).

This is old book. When I was in college, I heard about it. Before 1986, there were many dictator in the world. Saddam Husain, Zia ul haq, Markos of philipines, north koerian, Idi Amin of Rawanda etc. George Orwell might write about these dictators.

And the exact scenario is being tried out by right in the USA. They are banning books, getting rid of policies and laws they don’t like and are trying to isolate and shutdown defenseless minorities. Reminds me of MARTIN NIEMÖLLER: "FIRST THEY CAME FOR ---. The quotation expresses Niemöller’s belief that Germans had been complicit through their silence in the Nazi imprisonment, persecution, and murder of millions of people. He felt this was especially true of the leaders of the Protestant churches, which were made up of Lutheran, Reformed, and United traditions.
