Yep. Entire wars. If they was not able to make civilians pay and fight for their wars. They would do it with their own money, private army or local rebels. The ways they went to get democratic chosen leaders out of the way m, that actually cared about their people and hurt united fruits business. Nothing has changed. Look at Ukrain and see who have what interests.
