Glad I stayed up all night surfing youtube cuz I feel like I just found one of the most underrated hidden gem channels. It's great to find someone making high quality content around the kind of sounds, genres, and bands I like. I also really enjoyed your dreampop vocal tutorial!

@@bananalabs can you make a lesson explaining how to do those cool video fx transitions? would be very helpful for indie artists making their own video :) Thanks!

Would love to hear this for some post-punk style bands. Fontaines DC, Idles etc.

Sounds fun! I’ll consider doing one of those. Thanks for the suggestion!

I thought you did a good job of capturing the overall vibe of current joys, great video once again💯 If you're ever looking for some ideas, it would be dope if you did vacations they are one of my favorite bands

Thank you, Edward! This one was tough for me, but fun. People have been throwing out suggestions and really appreciate that. I’ll consider doing a Vacations one. I’ve heard several songs by them before and I enjoyed them. 👍🏻

Hey Willie, How do you write lyrics for specific vocal melody? Do you come up with the melody first (like humming or playing an instrument), and then come up with lyrics over that melody? I do it like that, but it ia hard! You make it look easy (if that is your workflow). Nice vid man… I haven’t seen this one. Thank the YT algorithm 😁
@bananalabs Жыл бұрын
Good question! I come up with the vocal melody first and then lyrics. Occasionally as I’m coming up with a vocal melody, some words will pop up. Thanks for checking this one out, Man!

First! Very festive Tree! All these artists I never heard of that get millions of streams a month on Spotify... Thanks for introducing all these great artists. How long did that take to make? I'm amazed how quickly you can create a song (and a video about it). Talent!
@bananalabs3 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks, Jason! I love being introduced to new artists, as well as sharing artists to others! It’s the gift that keeps on giving! This one took 3 hours in the studio to film/write/mix/produce, and about 5-6 hours to edit and upload. In total, about a day I would say.👍🏻

@@bananalabs One day! My god... I'm challenging myself to produce one song a week for 2022. If I can get my mixing right, that will be a start. haha.🤣 Your channel has been a big help.

Thank you! If I remember correctly for this particular one it was just a compressor, EQ and Saturator. Probably slight reverb just to smooth it out a bit but that was about it.

Which guitar amp settings did you use?
@bananalabs2 жыл бұрын
Can you be more specific? You mean where are my settings at as far as bass, treble and mid tones? I don’t remember exactly for this particular track but I usually have the bass around 5, Mids at 7/8 as well the treble. Presence around 2 depending how new my strings are.
@justusfelixkodel26542 жыл бұрын
@@bananalabs thanks for the answer. And do you also use any pedals?

No, not on this track. It was inspired by Current Joys “Neon Hell”
