Oh, how I *adore* Bananarama. When I'm feeling just kind of glum or moody, I listen to stuff like Radiohead or The Smiths, wallowy music. But if I'm really in a pit of despair or feeling anxiety something awful, I've discovered nothing that works quite like their particular brand of *aggressively* funky and cheery '80s pop. "Love in the First Degree" in particular has forced me through some very tough moments - I'd love you to check that out, as well as "Venus", "I Want You Back", "Only Your Love" (feat. Fun Boy 3), and/or countless others.

The 80s had their own British Invasion of sorts with British Pop and New Wave. You can usually spot it when the songs are heavy on the synthesized music. Bananarama, Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, Boy George and Culture Club, Duran Duran, The Human League, Modern English, A Flock of Seagulls, Kajagoogoo, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! Check 'em all out! Sadly, a lot of them were one or two hit wonders, but what hits they were!

I'm glad you are able to play this without trouble, it's absolutely ridiculous that these music companies don't want free promotions from channel creators.
@arthurshagnasty40392 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I think it comes down to censorship and control. I've noticed other channels that don't even do music but have other content and they have the same issue. And for example you are not allowed by any stretch of the imagination to dispute the outcome of a Democrat election. But if trump got elected talk smack it's fine don't worry about it we got this. But when a Democrat wins bite your tongue or you will be banned and alienated from whatever platform. So unfortunately it's not just the music industry that suffers this brand of censorship. Said that freedom of speech and all of our rights are under attack. So if you want ratings and paid channels shut up and comply with whatever the mainstream media dictates to us if not suffer the consequences. Sad days indeed.

Love this track. It's almost like an acapella parallel of cool different beats and melodies. The Wikipedia on this track is pretty eye-opening: "After an exhausting morning shooting in the city in brutal August heat, the band returned to the tavern for lunch. They made the acquaintance of some local dockworkers, who, upon learning of their situation, shared vials of cocaine with them. "That was our lunch," said Fahey, who had never tried the drug before. "When you watch that video, we look really tired and miserable in the scenes we shot before lunch, and then the after-lunch shots are all euphoric and manic."[8]"
