Tricks to make high heels

This video is about how to make high heels from ordinary flip flops.

3. Slide the heel of the sandal into the incision at the back of the sandal.

Actually... My mom used to buy me similar slippers as a kid. Looks almost like this, but at the heel part, there's like an arc wherein your heel can fit and not slide to the sides... As a child I remember being so happy and wearing it all the time even though it'll give me cramps sometimes.

There's a reason why they don't officially make high heel flip flops. The angle of the heel forces the foot forward into where your toes go & the strap in between the toes will constantly rub, maybe even cut the skin in between the toes.

The craftsmanship was good, and the finished product was very pretty, but the design would be very uncomfortable. There is a sudden elevation of the heel with no arch support or graduation leading up to it. And the weight would all fall forward into the thong portion between the toes.

They are made of cardboard with thin coating of leather [if lucky], if not it is plastic, or vinyl over cardboard, and plenty of superglue and weights to hold together, it is just that factories does it faster and automated, but the actions are not much better, and bought shoes don't last that much longer, and you pay a heck of a lot more.

That’s really cool! He turned that Pepto-colored Dollar Tree flip flop into a fancy non-slip designer sandal in less than an hour. He actually made that pink look like a spotted strawberry with those winter fresh colors. Those colors are SO cute! Ima get tiny embroidered strawberry felties to hot glue to the fronts. Thanks for sharing this. I don’t think I’ll copy it, but I am gonna see flip flops in a store and know how they’re made, so that I can respect what I have access to just buy all neat and tidy for my convenience. What are u on about these wedge flip flops can absolutely be worn I have a black pair that are from a high street well known retail store, most designer red bottom heels are more likely bad for a lot of women's feet and a foot wear specialist will tell u that hence why ppl go on to develop foot problems over time, but guess what they sell in stores any way its not illegal I've studied footwear, this is how you build up a wedge heel the only difference is the flip flops will act as a sole board and you can add Cork (thats one way of doing it) to build up the the wedge heel underneath the sole like he did with the flip flops, maybe there was no model on hand to show us how it fits these wedge flip flops were quite popular in the early 2000s sold and bought in many retail stores it maybe not good for the feet but what this man has created many western shops sell.

Incredibly talented guy no doubt about it. My wife and daughter absolutely refused to wear anything but high heels even to the beach they would never wear flip-flops. My daughter somehow found a pair of flip-flops with a 4 inch heel and my wife won’t even wear those strictly a high heel sandal, but it’s not the end of the world they look good

На размер уменьшились. Клей плохо промазан и Подоша быстро отклеится. Если бы покази как они проведут себя при ходьбе... А так, если есть время и нужные материалы, можно пробовать. Такие тракторы были в моде в 90-е года и совсем неудобные.

Claro, es más cómodo tener una pequeña altura que plano pero no este terraplén tan alto, el cual se deformara muy rápido hacia un lado y caminarás chueco, pésimo zapato, los tacos o terraplenes nunca deben ser de materiales deformables, tuve una chinas y terminaron deformes

@@pricer39 You're right, I missed the consumables. He used two different types of glue. @03:05 he used "CA" glue / cyanoacrylate glue AKA *Super* *Glue* to affix the straps. The next / thicker yellowish one in the clear water bottle is more than likely *Contact* *Cement* AKA "contact adhesive". I say this because the procedure for adhering two surfaces together with this adhesive requires a bit of a dwell time for the adhesive to become tacky before pressing them together for a permanent bond - you can see him preventing contact with the foam wedge he placed in there @03:38. And you can see the jump cut while he waited for the sole of the shoe to dwell before adhering it. Additionally, the EVA foam that these flip flops are (probably) made of is typically fused using contact cement.

No, the shoes are not going to be painful and uncomfortable as the haters are saying, thats why he is using so soft materials. This is more of a soft wedge shoe/platform shoe, perfect for a hot day running errands or going to the beach. I despise all of you for hating on someone who clearly has talent and skill and puts in the work and effort to make things with his own two hands. Also, these shoes are for a hot climate, and your foot sweat does make your foot stick to the shoe in addition to the soft material of the heel. Not the most pleasant picture, but that is the way it works in reality, the foot also easily sticks to this material
