There you go, Reactors. This is one proper way to react to Band-Maid. Except, Evilcorkin, it is sacrosanct to talk during Kanami's solo... or MISA's... or Akane's, if she ever did one ;-). Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of rock n’ rollers. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency, Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor (IMHO) position them as the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones, are kick-ass! Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" is a great place to start. Their newer songs drive even more - Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written slower tunes like Daydreaming, Anemone and Start Over... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming … or funky like Bubble! Kanami Tono - “Mincho” Lead guitar, 26 years old, keyboards, writes most of the material. Kanami (Translates “Song Wave”) is a major riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. One of her many talents (besides massive consumption of noodles) is to revolutionize rock drumming, especially the kick. She is the Party! MISA -- "Assassin Maid" Bass, 26 years old. There is Band-Maid and then there are the rest. Band-Maid writes, performs and arranges their own music. That alone puts them head and shoulders above all JPOP and JROK musical acts. Band-Maid is a genuine rock band. Sacramento loves these multi talented young women. Jimmy Page said after watching them play in Tokyo in 2016 that Akane was John Bonham reincarnated.

LOL Most people will comment you won't find a bad song by Band Maid and although you are late to discover them, the fortunate thing is you have a wealth of music videos and live songs to react to. They are so good live and play as well as you see them on the music videos. If you want to go back to their beginning, the first music video they made was called Thrill. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5XWaJppgpJnorM In their early days, songs were written for them. The maid uniforms have changed since the early days especially for Misa the bass player and Saiki, the lead vocalist. Miku, rhythm guitar, formed the band. She used to work in a Maid Cafe and thought it would be a good idea to have cute maids playing heavy rock and it certainly works. You will get a few moronic comments about the costumes for those who are not listening to the music.

If this is your first taste you are in for ride!! This is the best rhythm section (bass/drums/guitar) playing today. If you check the 1st super group Cream (Baker/Clapton/Bruce) they are about as good as that section. Try Take Me Higher (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHfcipyGeb-tmtk) be prepared for a bass/guitar riffs that will blow you away. Hey another J-Rock/Metal band to blow your head off is Asterism Rising Moon (kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5fbfpxmd91nrpI) TEENS who can't play after 8 pm in Japan due to Child Labor Laws. They blend Metal/Hard Rock and Jazz with no vocals but you will be stunned!! Haruka the female guitarist was 15 in the video and shreds like a Hendrix clone, the bassist 16 is another Jack Bruce in the making and the old man drummer, 19 is fantastic. Mary's Blood Marionette (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g32wY6iki5Werbc) are great, mini skirts that shred with speed.\m/ Lovebites Shadowmaker (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rorHe3uXpt6SgK8) 1st female Japanese band to play Wacken and Bloodstock (2018), think bridesmaids in heels with speed and power shredding the Boy's Club to pieces with a bluesy vocalist who sings in English. Great to see you've found Band-Maid, they are up there as one of my favourite bands. Please can you look at ガールズロックバンド革命 (Girls Rock Band Kakumei) and their latest song Voltage (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5ycpauDpNqIaZY&start_radio=1), their drummer Junna will blow you away, she's beyond talented. You could be a complete musical layperson and she'd still amaze you. Also the song かくれんぼ (Hide and Seek) by AliA is worth looking at, it's catchy as hell and the singer Ayame is great. There are a LOT of really good Japanese rock/metal/punk bands/groups around at the moment so you're really spoilt for choice. At the moment I'm enjoying BiSH an alt-idol punk group - An example of them live (kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5XGp4iQabunhbM) or one of their more punk songs official videos (kzbin.info/www/bejne/laeTqJ2aaZp3h6s) lastly they love to use strings heavily on some tracks like (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIvCqH2bapWMsLM). Just as an additional bit of info, even though they're "Idols" they do write the lyrics to the majority of their songs.

I don't know if anyone has told you about Iron Bunny yet. Another J-rock band. Pretty much any song is worth a listen but view Street Strider after the others. That one has no vocals and simply showcases the guitar player.
