CLANG for some reason seems to be a forgotten gem of Band-Maid's. This tune should be in every live show IMHO.

@@_JimS Very true. Reminds me of an interview I watched with Dionne Warwick. After she had 56 singles in the top 100, she couldn't even loop them all in on a big medley of hits, that alone would take all night. And then there's her album tracks. So she told her crowds, you all want me to play every song I ever recorded. That would take forever. So rather than even attempt that, I selected just a few songs, and that's that.

"I quite like this unprofessional footage, there's something raw about it that I just enjoy." Yeah, these Vladimir Chupin videos remind me of going to the clubs around Dallas, seeing great rock and roll at high volume in some seedy place with a sticky floor, sneaking out the back door for a quick puff during the break, avoiding drunks on Greenville Ave. on the way home. Ah, memories.

Second Heat is a superb guitar shred album, if you like the twin lead harmonised stuff. Good point, I'll pop a link to his video in the description and probably give his channel a bookmark since it's got the Tony stamp of approval!

@@JbfMusicGuitar Sorry, just noticed this reply from you. Checked them out and got sold on them pretty fast - it was Fire of Rock that sealed it! - but a bit annoyed that I completely missed out on them when I was a Metal fan back in the 80's (the big perms and spandex years - for the bands, not me!) and would have loved their sound more. Made me think that this is what Deep Purple might have sounded like if they'd stayed together. PS Vlad's been following Band-Maid around the USA the last few weeks and he's posted a ton of fancams from the gigs.

@@tonygriffin_ I don't think they ever got big, I only found about them from nerdy guitar stuff really, I think a mate of mine found Paul Gilbert doing 'Metal Dog' in glorious 144p! They have a live DVD called snow ball of doom- worth a watch! It's just Paul so no twin leads, they sound great though. They sort of ruined Trivium and those more modern metal bands like that for me a bit, cause I'd already heard these insane harmonised guitar acrobatics!

@@JbfMusicGuitar It seems to be a more common thing in Japan to have 2 lead guitarists and they always seem to enjoy taking their turn and then dueting in perfect harmony - Babymetal's Kami Band, Lovebites and Nemophila all do it. Miku isn't quite up to Kanami's level but Kanami has taught her everything and has always written her rhythm pieces so that, over the years, Miku has gone from wearing the guitar as a necklace to being very proficient. Maybe one day they'll have a dual harmony going on!

Interesting Racer X reference. Kanami once tweeted that she tried learning the solo to Colorado Bulldog by Mr. Big when she was in high school and found it difficult. Those old Kanami tweets before she was famous were funny and some of them were pre-Band-Maid.

Great reaction, Jack! For those unfamiliar with the Racer X comparison, go 6 minutes into the following video where they do a guitar/bass tapping battle and then break into a Clang-like riff: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGGYnIGKa9aiprs Clang also gives me strong AFI vibes at 1:58 and 3:10 -- the fat bass combined with Saiki's whine. Incidentally, regarding fan cams, for that cool MISA/Kanami tapping intro, there are only fan cams of it, as I think B-M only did that in Europe.

Good point, on the plus side everything is surprisingly well balanced! They've come a long way from the pure static/white noise 'fffzzzrrhgthushcttt' of the early 2000s. That was always such a let down, you'd record like the best part of a gig and it would be this shaky, blurry inaudible mess!
