It was suggested by other band members that the more crazy arrangements by Kanami on Unseen World and this Single were born of the frustration of trying to work through Covid. Saiki wrote the lyrics for this song- you can tell.

Yup BM take from many genres and mix and match as they feel like and Kanami is a very unique and interesting composer.

If not noted here somewhere this is Saiki's first official songwriting credit. This song (corallium is the polished gemstone of red coral.) is credited as Atsumi-Tono as opposed to Kobato-Tono. She shines just like the gemstone.

This is the first song for which Saiki wrote all the lyrics herself. For me, the best song of this single. Both instrumentally, but especially because of Saiki's singing. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊

Didn't Miku also write a set of Lyrics for Corallium? I'd liked to have seen the different approach she would've taken with the lyrics :)
@HaroMatsuRestarted2 жыл бұрын
@@GaryHolloway-810 Yeah, Both Miku and Saiki wrote their own lyrics and did competition for it, and Saiki version was selected for it. I also want to see the Miku version as well🕊

Thx for the wonderful reaction. This song grew on me: the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. Eventually it became one of my most played songs on Spotify last year lol. Wish they'd made an MV for it.

I think it's refreshing to have Saiki as lyricist every now and then because I've noticed that Miku reuse some words or phrases in several songs, which is inevitable since one of the main themes of their songs are about personal growth as well as revolution of the band, world Domination.

Originally Saiki is a fan of the charismatic Japanese R&B singer and dancer NAMIE AMURO. The lyrics of this song were written by Saiki. I'm guessing that Saiki probably requested Kanami to write an AMURO-esque song. It's not a BAND-MAID style song , but it was so good at the live.

What to say? I finally found a song by Band-Maid I don't like. So for me I found they're not infallible. And I love them for it.

I have listened to every currently released song by the Ladies, and I have yet to find one I didn't enjoy. I've found a few I don't outright love, but I still enjoy hearing them. This song isn't one of them, I LOVE Coralium, especially as Saiki's voice and Kanami's guitar seem to duet in the mid section.

"Corallium" is a precious red coral. I had a hot spa with Mincho in Thermae Yu's, Tokyo & she said "I'm going to call you Garyllium, a precious red Gary". Fun day that was.😏

Great song, especially due to Saiki writing the lyrics! If you haven't yet done "Hibana" and "Sense", the other two songs from this ep! One of my favorite things about Band-Maid is the various differences from song to song, yet no song is treated as "filler" as some bands do. Every song gets it due amount of focus from every band member. This is the start of Band-Maid being unleashed!

@@ロベルさん菜園 Right back at ya. Man, l am hyped about October. Part of that being seeing how they interact in a festival setting here. I heard at Diver City the crowd was asked to refrain from screaming and cheering in an effort to combat air borne transmission of disease and that the crowd for the most part complied. The up side was all of the music could be fully heard and appreciated. Asking a crowd here to do anything remotely like that just would not work here. Too many high school dropouts feel that they know more than people with years of study. However, none of this will be a factor when it is showtime. Appreciate you.
