BAND-MAID just celebrated 10 years together. Same five talented gals who have worked very hard to become known throughout the world. They are my favorite group and I don't see that changing for years to come. Thank you for your reaction to this wonderful song. (p.s. filmed in Taiwan)

Check out Ohrenje's channel for excellent documentries on the ladies...They start with Saiki (lead vocals) and then Kanami (lead guitar) then Akane (drummer) and then MISA (bassist) and finally Miku the band founder (rhythm guitar vocals, lyrics)..The reason for her being last is because it ties up the whole story as told in the previous documentries...They are well made and fun.

Yeah Seconded, You can also check out KZbin Channel Wave Potter Films and his three part series on the Maid's cslled Rock is Not Dead. Its also pretty good. But Admittedly Orenje's Documentary is the Gold Standard.

Welcome back to Band Maid. “Daydreaming” is their spin with writing a “ballad” and seemed to develop into an alternative rock, uptempo song. Fairly unique in their catalog, honestly. And a live concert setlist in concrete. The cool thing about the Maids is the ridiculous variety they play. You’ve hit on quite a few. But did you know they did instrumentals? The best I’ve heard since Rush. The most powerful is “From Now On,” official music video. The Maids are so fearless and confident that it was released as the first single from their latest album. And it’s often Song #1 when they play music festivals

The video was shot in Taiwan ... not 100% sure what town/city but the back drop while they are singing the chorus was the old Keelung Shipyard. Oh ... I was born in 61 as well haha.

Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, Memorable, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wondered if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx Tom, for another great Band-Maid reaction!

Best hard rock band on the planet. And in my opinion the best band I have ever heard in my 58 years. No need to make their video so small, Band-Maid won't copyright you for official video's, they support reactors and even watch them. Other Japanese bands you really should check out are Gacharic Spin 'Mindset' - rock funk insanity Hanabie 'Tousou' (run away) - youngsters on the scene blowing up massively - absolutely incredible. Three sisters from Mexico, check out The Warning, they are incredible. If you are really brave check out the incredible insanity that is Maximum The Hormone "Alien" this long standing band from Japan has been role models for many Japanese artists especially Akane the drummer from Band-Maid. This band is a Japanese metal institution. Be prepared for the unexpected though! Best wishes.

My son does all the editing and everything so I'm not sure about the size of the video. I'm computer illiterate so my wife and son do everything for me. Band Maid is fabulous and fantastic. The only band member of Band-Maid who has a solo project apart from Band-Maid is Band-Maid founder Miku. Her solo project is called "cluppo". From what I've heard from fans, Miku has said that she may do more as cluppo but that her commitment will always be to Band-Maid. The cluppo sound is more of a pop style than is Band-Maid. If you want to check it out, I recommend you listen to the song "Peace & Love." Miku, by the way, has a signature Zemaitis guitar known as "Flappy Pigeon", and she also has a cluppo song titled "Flapping Wings."

This is one of their laid back songs, pretty easy on the musicians and just a great melody. I suggest LIVE cuts and in particular Domination (live) and Freedom, as well as the live version of Manners with Black Hole. One of my three favorite Japanese bands, One Ok Rock, Wagakki and Band Maid.

This is a nice song, but far from demonstrating what this band can do. It is a great introduction to that wonderful voice of Saiki, the lead singer, which is tremendous. However, I think "Domination" and/or "Freedom" would have been better choices and after a while and having gotten to know them, comes "Manners", "Black Hole," "Dice" and others. Welcome to the incredible realm of Band Maid!

Hate to be the bringer of bad news. While Gunkanjima (Battleship Island) is an amazing location, that is not where they shot Daydreaming. It was shot at Agenna Shipyards in Keelung Taiwan during their tour there in 2017. The city shots in the video are in Keelung as well. The signs are all in Taiwanese. That all said, would love to see them shoot at Battleship Island but sadly that place is so poorly maintained that it isn't safe except from some very restrictive tours.

@@stabehlphotography Oh really? I thought it was the island. Particularly the part where kanami is playing in that garden courtyard surrounded by a broken down building. I felt like I've seen that building in exploration videos of the island before. That's what lead me to believe that.

Sad to think, but that location could've been the result of one of our bombs. The images in Babymetal's Monochrome lyric MV definitely remind me of the Hiroshima bombing because that's where Su-metal is from.
