A.J. and Vickie, I don't know if you have learned that Kanami just recent received a major honor. PRS (Paul Reed Smith) announce they have created a Kanami Signature Model PRS guitar. She is the first Japanese artist, male or female, to receive such an honor. There are only a dozen or so artists from around the world that had a signature model PRS named after them. There is a video on the PRS Guitar KZbin channel where Kanami talks about the honor and describes the guitar's design and attributes. It's well worth a reaction.

In an interview Saiki talked about the lyrics she wrote for this song. Short version. She was looking at music history, found songs and stories that had been forbidden but were now being recreated using new tech. Found inspiration from them and then wondered if long after she is gone if people will also be inspired by their music. Take the lyrics as being about connecting with someone from the past through their art and also connecting through your own art with someone in the future.

Nice reaction and within the album, "Epic Narratives" you'll find a variety styles, from that crunchy guitar that you liked in Thrill to this song. Try "Protect you" for another of the songs off the album (along with Shambles) that is more in the crunchy mode.

The songs already released earlier in the year are just Band-Maid awesomesauce! The six new songs are so tightly integrated and complex, it's going to take a Tokyo minute to assimilate. But I already love Forbidden Tale, and especially The One. 😉🤘 btw - We should all wish a "Good Luck" to Band-Maid's new self-run management company: Maidit, Co., LTD! Will they managing other bands, boost Cluppo and Maiko projects, or tour more internationally? Or maybe they will expand their business interest to other sectors of the music biz outside of Band-Maid. I believe Kanami wants to get more into composing, scoring and production. And as for Miku and Saiki, the sky's the limit for what they'll want to do in merch, fashion and art, etc.. The music and execution in EN is sophisticated and delightfully listenable. But the lyrics, and concepts they're based on, put it at the epic level. Thx, AJ & Vicki!

it's funny that the back story of Kanami composing this song, and the story behind Saiki's lyrics is different yet sync perfectly. It makes my eyes brimmed with tears. Unfortunately for you, Kanami loves melodic style. Thrill wasn't composed by Kanami, but it's not all lost. You can hear that crunchy sound from Miku in some recent songs. Just that this song doesn't need that sound, because it's a tale with highly emotional back story.
