You're right it is a whole new song. Without Saiki's & Miku's layered vocals the instruments really shine thru. It's easy to miss some of the intricacies going on in the vocal version :)

Although I feel like the vocal lines are vital to Giovanni, the mere fact that you can take them out and it still works well is a testament to how great the composition is.

This blueray also had the individual focused video for each of the ladies for this song...a total of 5 videos. Than there were two more songs also recorded 5 times...4 individual version and one ensemble version...Kanami's version is amazing to watch but so is Misa and Akane video...lastly, it's also shows just how much Miku does and how far her talent has grown....thanks for this reaction it was fun...Peace & Respect from 🇨🇦

I think my favorite of these instruments is After Life. MISA's bass work on that song goes unappreciated under the vocals. My jaw dropped the first time I heard verse 2.

The Unseen World Limited Edition came with a Instrumental DVD of After Life, No God, Without Holding Back and this song. Miku was playing her Zamaitis "Aces And Eights". The later score book came with an instrumental CD version.

I made a list for all the instrumental versions of tracks with vocals I could find in their catalogue. @@GaryHolloway-810 I rewatched her Zemaitis 29 question video, and she said in that interview that at that time she owned 11 guitars. There is a later interview she did where she mentioned that she "THOUGHT" she owned 16 then, but she wasn't sure, her guitar tech would know. I did some quick figuring, and she owns about 80 thousand dollars worth of guitars, amps and guitar pedals. That's if she paid retail. Since she is sponsored by Zemaitis, we know they either heavily discounted if not gave her outright many of her guitars. But she did mention having one of the prototypes of her Flappy pigeon and buying a second for a backup and Kanami buying one as well. And I did see a photo of their practice space and there were 3 Flappy Pigeons in the photo, 2 on Miku's side and one on Kanami's side. Again doing some quick figuring, the Ladies instruments and equipment for all 5 of them is over 250 thousand dollars, close to 300 thousand if you or I bought them for ourselves. And it's taken them 10 years to collect all that. I remember watching the RUSH Documentary of their Farewell tour, and there was a figure of 93 MILLION dollar price tag being floated about, for all of RUSH's instruments, stage gear and everything else. They owned their own transportation company to move all their equipment, and had over 60 people on salary. I hope in just a few more years, the Ladies start to get that kind of drawing power to be able to afford that type of support structure.

@@greylocke100 Wow that was a whole deep dive rather than a bit of quick figuring. Yeah i saw a similar thing about Iron Maiden & everything from transport, stage production, instruments, equipment & costumes are all in-house companies with little outsourcing. The payroll is staggering but if BAND-MAID can achieve even a modicum of the success that both of those bands have thoroughly deserved then i'll die a happy man.🙂

I have a PRS and a Zemaitis. (PRS SE Standard 24 & Zemaitis Z24 RS - nothing fancy). It's incredible just how light the Zemaitis is - great for our little Pigeon! Also, compared to the PRS the Zemaitis is a real 'growler'! It sounds filthy.

Miku's "Flappy Pigeon" Zemaitis has lots of Easter eggs in it's design. The Aces and Eights she plays in the video is also a great looking and sounding guitar. Oh by the way she also has a pearl top Zemaitis.

That's why you should buy it on CD, the first limited edition that comes with a concert video or instrumental video. I started listening late, so I bought all the MP3 songs to listen to immediately, that's why I bought more limited edition CDs later. Luckily, there were many items that could still be purchased at regular prices in Japan, but some were even priced nearly 10 times higher.

They released a full instrumental version of the Unseen World album. It came with the Unseen World scorebook. The CD was a limited edition with the book so not sure if it is still available. Worth finding it's awesome!

Like Davey Boyd said, this album has a full instrumental CD. It's amazing how much extra detail (and sometimes full meldodies) you can hear without the vocals. They have also done a couple of videos like this for other tracks. They usually come with the DVD and Blu-ray limited editions of their albums or EP's.

Really interesting, weird song that I love and have listened to countless times. Not really another band that I know of that can sound like this. I think I prefer the instrumental version slightly as the song feels a little crowded with the vocals to my ears.
