My favourite moment from 'Domination Live (Feb 2020)' is when, late in the song, Miku throws her head right back smiling upwards. I like to imagine she's thinking something like 'Holy s**t...I'm in the best band in the world...and it was all my idea!!...Po!!' They were slaying that song...and the whole gig. (I got the blu-ray a few days ago...7.1 digital surround...awesome)

Even though the sound quality is not the normal Vlad excellence, you can still tell how wonderful Saiki sounds and how on point the entire band is with the music. The Maids are phenomenal live. Yes, it was a fantastic night indeed! I'm so glad that I have recorded it, and now I can watch it again and again, plunging back into that wonderful atmosphere of energy and joy... I'm rewatching now the last ONLINE OKYU-JI from the day before yesterday. I keep calling it "Budokan," although of course, it was just a crowdless performance in a small studio somewhere in Tokyo. The crowd energy is really missing there... 😩 I imagine what a show it would have been in real Budokan... BAND-MAID is always feeding on the crowd, while the crowd feeds on them. It's like fire and wood: the hotter the flame, the more effective is the burning process, and the hotter the flame gets as a result 🔥 🤘

No band and no musician inspired me enough to lift my butt from a sofa and go somewhere. But for BAND-MAID, I specifically travelled to the Netherlands from Russia for one day, just to see them. Yes, it's very interesting that you can see and hear Miku very well here. It was unintended, I was there for MISA in the first place. But in the end, it was Miku who was at the centre of the frame more often... Which I am very happy about, I love to see how she plays her beautiful Zemaitis. She's mostly buried in the mix, and obscured by her dazzling colleagues, but she's very good, in fact.

We should all kick in and buy you VIP passes to ALL B-M concerts to video each year. We get a good and new perspective by being next to MISA and Miku and can see how well Miku holds down the rhythm guitar and vocals. Being this close and with the great sound, even "Start Over" is fun to hear :).
