Did the Lollapalooza organizers see Band-Maid's performance? If they did, I'm sure they regret not having the band as a headliner. I think the organizers should definitely welcome the band as a headliner when they invite them back to the festival in 2024 and beyond.
@Frisbieinstein Жыл бұрын
Headlining depends on fame, not on musical quality. You've got to work your way up to get known.

Great and proud for us as Japanese fans. No need explanstion for their sound, and Japanese fans must know the Lyrics of songs which almost MIKU and SAIKI write. The lyrics are so meaningfull for especially ladies and so Japanese fans, especially, Japanese girls and ladies who are chasing IKEMEN Hosts, had better learn more about these BANDMAID lyrics.

just noticed around 44:20 Akane loses a stick or broke one great recovery
@torunit4620 Жыл бұрын
Just before that it looks like maybe the stick in the left hand is half missing, so she played until the kick drum break and changed out. A true pro. Imagine how much abuse those sticks go through with all that banging.

That was a truly remarkable performance. Epic! Only one thing is annoying. Unfortunately, it happens more often in such broadcasts that the directors are not very good at choosing the camera. But I have really never experienced such an incompetent one. This person really has absolutely no idea about music.
@jeffersoncosgrove1910 Жыл бұрын
It started ok, but then it was like some moron ended up in the director's chair and it became much more random.

Yeah, I thought days of only putting the camera on the vocalist were long gone.
@markhunter855411 ай бұрын
@@jeffersoncosgrove1910 The director needed to view some Band Maid videos on You Tube before the show, so he'd knew where to place the camera.
@markhunter85544 ай бұрын
Believe it or not, this is not even close to worse concert footage I've ever seen. Free at Isle of Wight: they did not even put the camera on Andy Fraser during his bass solo during Mr. Big. Pathetic.
I listen to Band Maid Baby Metal The Warning. They are all fantastic musicians, but the singing is so average and does not stand out to me. There is a band I have been watching and Melodia the lead singer for Liliac is so different. So powerful and unique. I am not a fang by the way. I am just fair and balanced. When you hear a singer like her like Slick, Benatar, Wilson etc they are very rare and you really notice.

Band-Maid song selection could have been a bit better here, I think, was part of the problem. However, to call any of these artists average is kinda an insult. Great metal vocalists are a dime a dozen!! Suzuka Nakamoto, Alissa White-Gluz, Anette Olzon, Sharon Den Adel, Amy Lee. However, I don't think Saiki is any less of an artist or vocalist here. Band-Maid still isn't widely known yet & I think as time goes on she will get better. As I have already noticed a big improvement from last years tour. So credit where it's due here I think. I myself personally lean more towards Nemophila & Asami of (Lovebites). Who comes from an R&B and soul music background. Who would have thought that an artist coming from a classical ballet background of about 16 years. Would have such an gravitational calling towards metal as she has. A brilliant vocalist but has also gone under the radar as well. So I don't disagree with your opinion necessarily but vocal talent is only one part of what makes a band truly great! :)
@archaeopteryx981 Жыл бұрын
@cyberpred You're entitled to your opinion, of course. But when you say Bands A, B, and C suck and Band D is great, and then you follow it up by saying “I am just fair and balanced,” it makes you sound full of yourself.
@tiradinusrex3793 Жыл бұрын
After perusing through several concerts and tracks of Band-Maid I am left with the impression that they are a technically proficient and mechanical sounding gimmick band with no stand out or memorable songs. Vocalist range and singing is absolutely atrocious and very low energy IMO and by the way, Japanese rock always sounds too anime for me to take seriously or connect on any visceral or emotional level. If you want to really enjoy ladies rocking out with intensity and passion, I recommend The Warning or Plush, both equally amazing live sounding and hard hitting bands with great and memorable songs and amazing musicians.
@c4sb2008 Жыл бұрын
why are you watching their videos then?
@tiradinusrex3793 Жыл бұрын
The KZbin algorithm has been showing up with videos of theirs in my timeline and out of curiosity I started to check them out. This is probably because all female bands are the rage in today's rock music and some great music is being made by the ladies of rock! My comment in no way is meant to disparage anyone who is into Band-Maid and their sound, I just thought I'd do youtube things to drive engagement by leaving a personal opinion and a recommendation. Cheers to you.@@c4sb2008
