This is a great instrumental song from Band-Maid! It was put in to give the lead singer, Saiki, a vocal break during their shows. There are three other instrumental songs from Band-Maid, "From Now On", "Without Holding Back" and "Don't Be Long", and they are all awesome!

All of their instrumentals are awesome, but "Onset" is still my favourite. Followed by "Giovanni". And yes I do love their new one "From Now On".

Giovanni doesn't count really. Its NOT an instrumental song just because they did an instrumental version of it.. There's an instrumental version of warning too! Giovani IS amazing as an instrumental tho! (you just cant really call it 'one of their instrumentals') Also- don't forget without holding back! I'd rate that 2nd best!

@@elevown Say what you want. I love the instrumental version (more than the original). It does count to me because a) It exists b) It has it's own MV c) It was released (and still available) Your quote "Its NOT an instrumental song just because they did an instrumental version of it" is bizarre and not even true. The instrumental version is an instrumental song. So I'm not allowed to like it for some odd logic? Or like it more than 'From Now On'? Some people like the acoustic version of Sayonakidori better than the original, but by your logic that 'wouldn't count'.

@@Davey-Boyd I say that because it literally isnt an instrumental. Its a song with an INTRUMENTAL VERSION. The song giovanni is a song with singing. Just like if you said warning was you favourite instrumental people will say 'thats not an instrumental!' even tho one exists. You CAN say - the instrumental VERSION of Giovanni is your favourite instrumental by band-maid. Just being pedantic about your wording.

They have several great instrumentals, but in my mind, Onset is the best of them. Some have argued that From Now On and Without Holding Back are more technical and more complex, and that may be true, but to me they lack the flow and overall compositional mastery of Onset to me. Onset also gives me serious Rush vibes!

@@kyles5513 Without Holding Back is great, too, but I still have to go with Onset, if by just a hair! There are others that are more technical and complex, but those elements alone are not what make great songs. To me, there is a smoothness and flow and personality to Onset that just isn't quite there in the other instrumentals, at least not to the same degree as with Onset. If I were to rate the instrumentals from best to worst (or rather, best to least best), I'd rate them: Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, and Don't Be Long, although FNO and WHB are both more technical than Onset. It's all subjective, though.
