Yes, Kanami is the first Japanese musician of either gender to be honored with their own signature PRS guitar. Paul Reed Smith himself was there at the ceremony in Japan to personally hand her new guitar over to her.

Puzzle is a masterpiece, a standout song in a catalog that’s stuffed with high quality songs. Your analysis, saying it’s “the perfect blend of complexity and accessibility” is a big reason I love them so much. Another KZbin reactor once said that a lot of prog bands wish they could be progressive and catchy at the same time like Band Maid is. They’re technical, yet not pretentious. Progressive sometimes, yet accessible, heavy as hell, yet full of pop sensibility, slow and mellow at times, speed demons at other times. They do it all, and expertly, too!

"...the perfect balance of complexity and accessibility..." Well said! Band-Maid does what many bands fail to do...do what serves the song. No egos get in the way in making and performing the great music they produce. As to the energy...spot on again. I've been fortunate enough to see them a bunch of times in both the US and Japan, and I can tell you the energy is through the roof. They channel the energy to the Masters and Princesses (what they call the fans) and we (Maidiacs, what we fans call ourselves) pass that energy right back at them. It's a circle of life energy...so amazing to be part of their Okyu-ji (what they call their live concerts, which translates to "serving"). Another excellent reaction to the brilliant maids. It was a good choice for a live performance and you only have to pay attentionj to the maidiac commenters to get suggestions for other videos that you may find even more impressive. Live is usually best.

Puzzle is 1b on my MAIDs list of songs. This is a very good version but I prefer the older one. You can hear Kanami more clearly and, most of all, you can hear Miku's angelic backing vocals much better.

one thing i like about this version is that you can hear Kanami's lead in the verse better. I didn't even know it existed until i watched this stream :D

One big difference I can see in this version is that Miku is now doing the intro to Kanami's solo. Miku is also playing her custom Zemaitis Flappy Pigeon guitar.

@@kurt9395 i checked back to the Zepp version, and Kanami starts it but hands it over to Miku, but Miku sounds so much better here than before, and she does it from start to finish, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Miku play that part as well.

I remember watching this as a live stream, it was amazing. I love Kanami, but I feel so bad for her as in the actual performance, she missed the first bend in the solo. She recovered like a true pro and played the rest of the solo flawlessly. They "fixed" that in this video, so they do some editing for these videos for mixing and levels, but it's not much.
