I love the fact that no matter where they play or how big the audience is Band Maid still works their butt off and puts on a great show!

Absolutely, act like they're in a massive arena when they're at a small venue, it shows class that 😁👌

Band-Maid venues generally average between 500 - 2,500 capacity. Their next big one February 11th, 2021at BUDOKAN, Japan is around 15K. I saw them in LA 2019 at a hard rock 850 cap club. They're audiences are growing every year. If you're lucky, you'll get to see them at a small club, but those days are becoming far and few between.

Thanks for using one of the good quality fan-cams. Proof positive that they aren't a product of a studio or an engineer.

Thanks for the memories! This was on Sept 28th 2019, (Kanami's birthday) Cambridge Room, House of Blues, Dallas TX. Venue was intimate, only holding 250. Met the band before the show. Gotta say seeing Band-Maid was like seeing the Beatles in the Cavaran in 1962. The official MV for Thrill blew up on the internet back in 2015 and pointed the band in the direction they should continue right at the point they were ready to call it quits. Lucky us!

I am about 400 miles away right outside of Lubbock, this was about 3 weeks before I discovered them on KZbin. I kick myself repeatedly for not finding them sooner!!

@@Hethern The key for me was joining the fan club when they opened it to international members. We got access to tickets before the general public and they sold out fast. For less than $80 I saw B-M concert and even exchanged words with them (however briefly). A heck of a bargain. I came from 300 miles away in Arkansas, so basically next door!

Before the 2019 pandemic, they sold out overseas venues, but didn't live in big venues. That is Band-Maid now. I hope they can do it in a big venue by increasing their fans. It may be soon. Since the video was shot on the Misa side, the bass and rhythm guitar sounds louder and the Kanami guitar is quieter. This video shows Miku's growth.

From JAPAN I made an introduction to Band-Maid. As you may know, please refer to it. Thank you for Reaction Band-Maid. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing hard rock in a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 20-23 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Now they are writing, composing and arranging all the songs. 30 songs have been released on their official KZbin, all of which are killer songs. They will release a new song "Different" on December 2nd and a full album "Unseen World" in January 20 next year. It was announced that the new song "Different" will be the theme song for the animation "Log Horizon 3rd season Round Table Collapse" that start in January 13 next year on NHK E-TV (educational broadcast) Japan. Official KZbin kzbin.infovideos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=2126 For hard rock, "DOMINATION" "Secret my lips," "Rinne," "DICE." "PLAY." and "Onset." For ballads, "Wonderland ," "Endless story ,"and "Daydreaming" For a fun live, "FREEDOM(Live) ," "CROSS", and "Choose me" Japanese style "Secret maiko lips" and "GION-CHO" My most favorite songs right now are the "Puzzle" band version and the acoustic version. Next, their latest Live work "FREEDOM" 2020 2.14 Sibuya Tokyo Live would be good. For studio music videos, "YOLO" is a good choice. (^^♪ BAND MEMBER Miku Kobato : Side guitar, back vocal, lyricist, band founder, Public relations officer, Kobato is a small pigeon! Saiki : Lead vocal, the youngest, and member call her a teacher and she make various decisions. likes bullet trains. Kanami Tono : Lead guitar, composer (prolific genius), good at piano. hobby is reading. good at making sweets. Akane Hirose : Drummer, band leader, good at funny faces, She is a big eater. She loves anime. Misa : Bassist, stage drinks are liquor, play with bare feet. She is the most shy and reticent. good at cooking.

I mean... yeah, they are better live. But that generally refers to the official concert videos. This was a decent bootleg though. And, yes, they generally play small venues overseas. Miku (rhythm guitar) was originally the lead singer. Their first songs were kinda pop rock. She didn't feel her voice was strong enough for the kind of hard rock songs they wanted to perform, so she and the label brought in Saiki. Those two harmonize beautifully together. Miku does occasionally take lead vocals, like with the song 'Time'. Or the that one instance when Saiki was kidnapped by the audience halfway through a song and Miku had to finish singing it.

MISA!!!!!! MISA!!!!! MISA!!! A good fan cam. The 2 venues I saw them play in LA were small. There were 250 fans at the Lodge in 2018 and at least 500 at the Echoplex in 2019. Both concerts were sold out. So much fun.

Miku was the original lead singer and had the humility to hire Saiki to replace her as lead singer.

The Thrill official music video is also dope & you can hear the music better there than on this one so perhaps you can also react to the music video. Also, there is not always subtitles/cc. If you turn on CC and it says "auto-generated" then that means there is no real subtitles. The only way auto-generated subtitles work best is if the words are clearly pronunciated & enunciated & there is no other noise or music in the background.

Great reaction! What I like about this band is there are bad songs! Every songs they played are fantastic. I rmb I watched one of their interviews that they always put some English words in their lyrics so that their fans can sing together with them.
@RevStickleback4 жыл бұрын
It seems to be incredibly common in Japan to have English in songs. In fact, you'll see bits of English everywhere over there, in adverts, on signs, even in places where tourists will be far and far between.

When the original of this came out, Miku could barely play. If you see the official video, you see Miku wears her guitar like an expensive and heavy necklace. The song is hardly played any more, but it was brought back for the US tour, probably because it's a song foreign fans know more than domestic crowds, being the first one suggested by KZbin.
