I think this song explains Band-Maid perfectly. Kanami wrote a song that has her shedding through most of it, then she turned down the volume and put lyrics on top. No ego, just moving the song along. I love it.

Secret my lips is one of those tracks that when you come back to it after a while you think my god this is so good. You will love the Maiko version too.

Secret my Lips has so much variety, and is a top ten B-M IMHO, but sometimes when you wanna trade a little of that variety for a little bit more energy and chaos, there’s Secret Maiko Lips.

Everything about this song is so good. And it's like 3 or 4 in one. BTW, as I think you're probably guessing, the "ai" in Maiko is pronounced the same as the "ai" in Saiki. There are rules, dontcha know :)

Love your reaction on Bandmaid. In the same album of Secret My lips, there are other great hard rock tracks highly recommended. Moratorium Take me higher!! Puzzle Puzzle is often recommended with Acoustic version but god I love the hard rock version. Peace!🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

That would be amazing. I think folks like to exaggerate their rivalry, when both bands are actually pretty good friends. BAND-MAID have even covered a few BAND-MAIKO songs at Kyoto concerts. : )

Band-Maid is without a doubt some of the most proficient musicians out there and I can't wait to see them in Oct. You should also check out the 3 sisters from Mexico called The Warning their new song Money is very good Pau the drummer while not as good as Akane is a beast on the drums and sings in the song Dust to Dust

Rhythm during the verses actually quite difficult and complex. Could be written either in a crazily awkward 4/4 or more comfortably, as measure of 6/8 (or two measures of 3/4) and one in 2/4.

To help with the pronunciation, Maiko is pronounced My-Co not May-Co. You would split up the sounds in Japanese as ma i ko, but the ma and i come together as almost of i + j sound. I hope I didn't make it more complicated. You can just say My-Co and you should be fine. I hope this helps. I have some experience with learning Japanese, but I still suck a lot after all those years (I am just not the best at learning languages in general, my sister has all that talent).
