Wonderland is such an underrated masterpiece. So beautiful from start to finish and Saiki sounds magnificent! And Manners is just incredible. And it's got Misa written all over it. Funky, groovy, badass goodness!

I grew up on the Beatles and the Stones. I remember rock evolving through the Psychedelic era, through Prog, through punk, through metal, etc. so I'm used to bands that refuse to chew their cabbage twice. Band-Maid isn't afraid to do pop or jazz or folk-metal, or whatever fits their fancy at the moment. They are simply one of the most creative bands I've encountered in years. BTW: Saiki creates the set lists for concerts and the song order on their albums, she put "Manners" on BOTH DISKS of the Unseen World SE 2-disk album. Band-Maid really wanted everyone to hear "Manners".

After well over a decade of cynicism towards modern music especially rock, a couple years ago I heard them for the first time and suddenly I was constantly finding a new ‘best song in a long time’ over and over again. *Simply put, they made me love music again.*

Wonderland is a great progy, jazz rocker with touches of funky elegance wrap around a mid-tempo, storytelling, epic soundscape. In other words, as Ryan Mear and Chase put it, ”Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things!” 😊 BTW - For really special, reimagined compositions of Wonderland and other songs from Band-Maid, check out FXDx Studios YT channel. 日本から。 I have no intention of saying that BAND-MAID is the best in the world.　But I think you already understand that they are a one-of-a-kind band.　The lyrics in Manners are a statement of BAND-MAID's commitment to the future at the time of the album's release.　I, too, cried when I heard the lyrics.　These women never cut corners when creating their music.　I think that is why I am always impressed.　I think BAND-MAID is still underrated.　I look forward to your reactions in the future.

"Different shades of Rock......" Sometimes, often, those different shades blended into a single song. Speed of metal, pop-punk lyrics and style, then grunge (but "clean)," back into hard rock, almost 80's rock, back into the speed of metal, They can and "do it all." They are a ROCK band. The rock band for me. Always giving us more yet leaving wanting more.

Wonderland is my favourite performance for showcasing Saiki's vocal range and power. And my favourite Saiki expression is at 9:16 which you just happened to miss as, Sod's Law, you'd just looked away! She makes the same look on the excellent live version of Manners too. It emphasises the emotion of the lyric.

Thank you for your reaction. "The happy gorilla wakes you up and the barefoot assassin takes you for a walk." is my own little tribute to the rhythm section. Wonderland is one of the songs I actually forgotten about because I went through all the albums as I wanted to get an overview of what they had and it was simply overwhelming. Thanks to some input I went back and and listen extra to it to discover the depth of the composition. The MV for Manners was the start of my musical journey with the maids and has a special place in my heart, it is indeed my #1 song though I don't claim it to be the best. Only on the same album it stands together with giants like Why Why Why, Giovanni and Black Hole just to mention a few. I prefer to listen to Band Maid per album so I indeed understand the change, it almost feels like bad ethics to watch reactors having to listen to one Band Maid song at a time but it is what it is. Have fun! :)

How would future historians of music characterize this genre? This is my next fun project. Also, don't ever take your eyes off the screen, even briefly to make an expression. I think you missed, for instance, that it's Miku doing the little note bends at 9:25. She does them in the official live, also, which is even more mind-blowing than the studio version.

I was searching through your catalog and I discovered that you haven't done East of Eden (This moment is a good song to start with) and Gacharic spin (this was a huge surprise, as they are around for more than a decade - That is ok, what about start with: I wish I - live). By the was, East of Eden has no liver version yet. enjoy.

Obviously, I love Band-Maid. But IMO, Wonderland is a dud. A very rare dud, and a dud that any other band would kill to have written and/or sung, but it just seems subpar to me. Not only are the instrumentals uneventful, and don't get me wrong Saiki is a bad *** *****, but her falsetto is best used sparingly. And why would you have Saiki do all that soprano work when you have the Pigeon? Manners, however, IS a wonderland.

Manners is a wonderland of Bass...incredible work. I do love Wonderland...they're careful about deploying Miku because they care about the Master's and Princess's blood-sugar levels 😁
