Since the Unleash EP Kanami has been exploring denser and more layered production, so this song is in the same compositional styling as songs on Unleash and Epic Narratives. Several guitar layers and several vocal layers give it some real heft. In the actual anime opening version it stops at that vocal break just before Mincho's extended solo.

So new viewers know, the smoky effect is NOT part of the official video and used for copyright purposes, which I feel there's no need for it since Band-Maid is not known for blocking, but that's not me. To me this song has a heavy "Forbidden Tales" vibe. Band-Maid has done heavier.....you'll see the deep you get.
