As someone that binged the series again after watching this. I can again say that this show is one of the best made. You don't realise it until the end, but this show hits you. And you cannot watch it without thinking how it is possible for anyone to even compare to the greatness of these men. For anyone that hasn't seen I implore you to go out of your way and watch it.

My Great Uncle was a captain in the war and was a beach master on Omaha. He went in before the first wave in the attack. He directed the landing on that beach and helped soldiers out of the boats. He was one of the first American soldiers to land in France that day. He also helped land General Patton in the invasion of Sicily at Salerno. He also served in North Africa. On Omaha, he was standing under heavy German fire. Somehow he made it out alive that day. He later served in the Korean War. He served in the Army in WW2, the Coast Guard in Korea, and then served in the Marine Corps, and Navy. He went to VMI and graduated at age 22 and was 35 in 44. After the war he became a sherriff. He never spoke much about his wartime experiences and I would do anything to go back and meet him before his passing. Rest in Peace Captain F Perry Williams and the rest of the soldiers who sacrificed everything as boys and served in the war.

I am a Doctor Who fan, thank you by the way, but Band of Brothers has a special meaning to me. I watched it with my dad, well at least three episodes, back when he was alive. He didn't serve in the war or anything but two of his brothers did, but to be able to share those three episodes with him and laugh together and talk about it... I wish I could have seen the whole series with him. He liked it a lot, so today short of the 10th anniversary of his passing I still get to watch the episodes, all this time, drinking Islay single malt and I get to remember how it felt to actually have the best friend I had. This video you created, a trailer for the series actually, is flawless and near perfect. Thank you for doing a great job.

My grandfather was in the 101st airborne he was injured right before the battle of the bulge in a training accident and he told me that accident saved his life because almost everyone in his company died getting shot trying to para behind enemy lines, crazy to think about how if he never would have injured himself in training I wouldn't be here.

I have always been a history buff and World War 2 was my favorite subject. I was sitting in the airport in Atlanta waiting for my flight to Peru, South America and wanted something to read. After watching the film "Saving Private Ryan", I read Steven Ambrose's D Day: June 6 1944 and Citizen Soldiers. If you're not into military history then these books may be a difficult and lengthy read as they can be technical in nature. I went into the airport bookstore and saw the Band of Brothers book and noticed that it was written by Steven Ambrose and it wasn't as long as the previous two books so I bought it to read on the flight. The story was easy to read and I enjoyed it very much. A couple of years later I saw that HBO had turned the book into a mini-series and I was very excited to watch it. It did not disappoint. Filmed with the same gritty, dull tones as SPR, this mini series did not disappoint and after I purchased it when it was released on DVD I have watched it many times. I also purchased the score as listening to it takes me back to various scenes in the series. I would recommend watching BoB not only to history buffs, but to anyone. These films also inspired me to join the Guard where I still serve as a chaplain today.

I watched this show two weeks ago and found it so touching, yet heartbreaking. I think knowing it was true helped me to realize what these men experienced even more than I did before. I hadn't given it much thought, but they saw war. They saw its horrors, its deaths, its bloodshed... They saw everything and I started seeing that so deeply in this show. I watched The Pacific this past week and cried at every episode. It truly drove in further what this show had put in my mind. I liked The Pacific a bit more than Band of Brothers, even though I thought this show couldn't be beat. I don't like comparing them, but there are personal reasons as to why I enjoyed, and felt more with, The Pacific. Either way, when I saw the video title in my notifications, I knew it would be amazing. Thank you for making this. Maybe consider one on The Pacific (of course, I'm asking at the risk of getting even *more* feels). Keep up the great work!!!!!

With June 6th coming around the corner , I decided to check and see if there were any AMVs for band of Brothers. I found found way more than I ever thought I would. But a lot of them are from 12 or 13 years ago. And most of them tend to show clips from the show with some alternative or heavy metal song. And I feel like they ring hollow. This is one of the few videos that I have seen that I feel is a piece of art and strikes true. I feel like it captures the gravitas of the show and understands that of all things. Band of Brothers While a story of war, is one filled with emotion and character. And most of the other videos I have seen cheapen the show by just playing rock music over the video, instead of showing the true depth of Easy Company. This video embraces the heroes that made up easy compay and embracs their emotions. Thank you.

I've re-watched this series countless times, and am currently reading the books written by the veterans from Easy Company. +Captain Arminius I think The Pacific really won out because it showed the men before, during, and after the war. What got me a lot was how they went from innocent young men to hollowed shells of who they used to be because if what they'd seen. I don't cry at a lot, but that show had me crying at every episode.

my great grandfather was Sargeant John O'Keefe and he was part of the second wave of boats for the D-day invasion, him and three other people where the only survivors of that wave, after they took the beaches he fought all the way to Berlin, always joining a company, then after most of them died, the survivors joined another company, and so forth until they dug in at the Rhine. After the war he was a warden for the german POW's for some time before he passed away at the ripe old age of 87, he had 2 purple hearts, a bronze star, and a few other awards I cant quite remember off the top of my head. He may have been just an infantryman, but he gave up as much as the heroes in the Airborne. mind you the airborne has its share of brave and good men, but I think charging headfirst up a beach into heavy machinegun fire is plenty ballsy too.

2:20 hit me so hard. the first time i watched this show, i cried at lest a little bit at the end of every episode, but the bits that made me cry were the most were muck and penkala's death, and the very end of the very last episode. i'd already read the book before watching the show and that was an amazing experience, but watching it come to life on the screen made it a hundred times more real and painful. and this was a beautiful and brilliantly made edit.

i was sitting in my living room on the leather chair where my grandma used to sit and i was getting Snapchats from my mates and my grandpa was sitting in the couch in front of me watching TV. this video came up and i watched and for the whole 2 mins 40 seconds i watched it all and i had goose bumps on me and after it finished i started crying, my brother walks into the room and says why am i crying? and i say to him " well my dear Brother ive just watched something beautiful"

This was one of the first series I ever watched . Me and my older brother used to watch it together , it was before Netflix was a big thing so we rented the DVD package .
