Fabulous! If only all you tuber contributors would make their presentations this straightforward. No music, no 'creative' camerawork, nothing to distract from the point. Thank you Frank. 😊

Thank you for this “How To” video. A friend of mine made one for me. Since I’m mostly blind, this jig allows me to cut my own bowl blanks! 👍🏽

NICE!!! Great design, easy to make, fairly inexpensive... genius! Very well explained. Will be making one as soon as I go to harbor freight to get a clamp. Thank you for the video, its much appreciated. Glenn

Very nice! I think this is almost exactly what I'm going to make for the exact same reason; cutting bowl blanks for my lathe.

Something I should have included in the video. When cutting circle cut into the start of the circle than back blade out rotate the blank ccw a few inches so that when you make the cut a triangle of wood comes out. This makes it easy to extract the blade when the cut is done.

That was the best explanation/description on how to build one of these. Thank you!

Great video, thanks for including instructions on how to build. Several videos out there, but your method looks to be the most straight forward and inexpensive.

Great job Frank! I make circles on my sewing machine almost the same way for quilting. Look forward to more from your shop.

Really like your Jig Frank really makes it easy to get great circles. The only problem I have is when I made mine which I'm going to redo and make it like yours is as the blade binds trying to cut circles of those pieces of logs like that. I wonder if I need to go to like a 1/4" or 3/8 inch blade I've got a three-quarter on now and trying to do Walnut and it just won't cut a circle. Thanks Glen

What would cause my blade to bend slightly? Other than tension? I had some good circle blanks.. then I started noticing my blade under stress 🤔😳

Sorry it took so long for a reply. The only thing I can suggest is to be sure the teeth of the blade line up with the pivot pin. Also the blade with will limit the diameter of the circle. A wide blade will not cut a small circle without binding.

How thick is the board?
@frankorlowicz7002 Жыл бұрын
Board is 3/4 inch. That was thick enough to make the t slot for the guide pin bar.

@@frankorlowicz7002 Thanks Frank! I'm actually adopting your technique to another jig for the bandsaw to see if I can make aan adjustable log holder for cross cuts :)
