Hey Bob, The guys write the music, Tatiana kept asking them to write a song with some Reggae in it, as it is a genre she likes. This is from the 2019 Macro album. When you come back to Jinjer, I recommend 'Vortex' , from the current album, 2021's Wallflowers. You haven't done a song from that record yet.

@@bobcieslinski I know Chris O feels that there isn't a live version with solid audio, and surely the studio recorded version audio will always be more crisp. However, the videography and overall performance of the whole band at Hell Fest is an absolute masterpiece and though the official video is truly incredible, I just don't think it's as interesting to react to that and break down the band's whole technique as the live version. Plus the audio is just fine and I have noise sensitivity issues and listen to it happily with full volume in my earphones. when i started making music in the early 70s there were a lot of dynamic bands that wanted to develop their own style, where they helped each other to finance the equipment and a lot more..... :-) it wasn't all good, but in my opinion the band-specific dynamic was more pronounced, because often you weren't looking for commercialism to make the quick bucks, you were absolutely creative and don't care what the record companies said...!!!!! and I've been following Jinjer for about 5 years, and what I like most about the band and the world-class musicians > Jinjer doing Jinjer things, and then we'll see... :-) In addition, the whole band is absolutely authentic and very likeable, you simply have to watch a few interviews... and jinjer is soooooo much more than just a metal band! Jinjer also made me familiar with this combination screaming, growling and singing stuff, which was not so familiar to me before, precisely because they do their own thing you can hear it right away that this is a great band if you are interested in music.... thanx for your reaction and lovely greetings from germany

Hi Hendrix! These are all great points and spot on from what I can tell with my limited videos I’ve seen. The musicians in this band are world class. They are so much fun to listen to and Tatiana is a fantastic singer with many singing talents. Together they area a super group.

I have worked with musicians who think of shifting time signatures as just shifting patterns rather than counting them out. I think in order to float the vocals over those shifting time signatures she might think of them as just rhythm patterns strung together. When I played drums I always counted them out but for a melody instrument that might be easier sometimes to think of it that way.

Very cool you are a drummer. My son is a drummer too. I can tell you it’s much easier counting rests but okayjng the rhythms is much easier like you said to just play the Melodies. Much harder counting those and playing too.

As a 50yrold zeppelin, floyd, Metallica fan jinjer has blown me away there heavy groove odd time metal has alot to take in I enjoy musically inclined folks like u to pick bits that I missed

Jinjer are an amazing band with such good musicianship and I’m really hoping it see them live sometime soon. Another band that I hope to see live and one that I hope that you will revisit is The Warning. They have put out some great new live videos from a concert that they did last summer. This is ‘Disciple’ live at the Teatro Metropolitan in CDMX (Mexico City).
