Miyako had the wah effect on the studio version too. This is just more raw, at least that's how my ears hear it. This is such a fun song, consistently pounding you into submission with speed and smiles. Great reaction.

This isn’t one of their more complex songs, but it’s one of the first to have great catchy sing along lines. There have been a few in other songs, but this one virtually invites you to sing with them, one of the reasons I feel it’s so popular, along with the beat. Asami seemed to strengthened her voice over the Covid period, and Miyako concentrated on building her speed. Of course this is one of my favorite groups too, lol. Thanks for the reaction!!

I love this song and the double solos with Midori and Miyako. I think starting the song with Fami was a pretty cool thing to do.

The original chorus is not sung by the whole band. Yes they sing along in the MV, which is quite possibly a live take but with the studio recording overdubbed. But read the cover notes, and the band members are credited with “gang vocals” for this track…which are the chants in the verses. Obviously they were always going to back Asami during the chorus whenever it came to the live version, but it’s why Asami’s vocals sound so powerful and so high. She obviously had to decide which vocal layer to use, and as she has the most powerful voice in the band. But it’s SO powerful that it jumps out at you versus the studio recording. What I find incredible is that she does it with absolutely no sign of strain or force, she sings, it’s ridiculously powerful, yet she looks no different than if she were humming it. Miyako did use the wah wah on the original, in fact the video shows her tap the foot switch at the end of her solo (which is what makes me certain they’re playing the song itself, we’re just not hearing them). Fami is the best thing to happen to LOVEBITES since LOVEBITES.

Bob, welcome back to Lovebites and great reaction as usual ! This song is the perfect crowd engagement track. Miyako has a wah pedal on her pedal board. She used that pedal in the solo section of the studio version as well. I believe the only difference is the mix between that and this LIVE version.

Hey Bob. Happy New Year. Hope you had a great Christmas. Great reaction as always. There’s no doubt how well Fami has fit into the band and look how much fun she’s having. Haruna as always blows my mind with some of the patterns she comes up with. There’s not much more that can be said about Midori and Miyako, and Asami is on fire. I want to give you a suggestion about a relatively new all female band also out of Japan. Although the group is new all the members are already well known in the music industry. The group is East Of Eden and they truly are a supergroup. I suggest starting with “Evolve” the extended version. It was the first video they released. Knowing your musical tastes I think you’ll love them. Cheers!

Thank you, Bob, for your competent, detailed and appreciative reaction. 🙂👍 What amazes me since I was introduced to the music of this band a few months ago: They are getting better and better and better with every _challenge_ , burden and even _difficulty_ they experience. Take the COVID pandemic: They composed this song, which is one of their most joyful ones. In the midst of a global crisis, I like to emphasize. And they published the _live video recording_ of their rehearsals, to lift the spirits of their fans, who endured the same all around the globe. Or take the _shock_ of Miho's quitting: They voted for _Fami_ to join them (which was one of the best choices they ever made, in my opinion), although Fami was not from their music branch at all (kawaii pop music covers). And: Lovebites always deliver _excellence_ for their studio recordings, but are _even better_ *live* . No matter how "lunatic" their songs are (in terms of the complexity and the arrangements), they even _surpass_ their studio vibe in their live shows - which allow no mistakes, due to the complexity of their compositions (keyboard melodies in the background, a.s.o.). Lovebites simply are a _mind-blowing_ band, in my opinion. Therefore, _thank you_ for giving them attention and promoting them, by reacting to them the way you do it. 🙂🐺DE

We🐺 love your passion for the band. If this 2 show tour was FAMI coming out party. This performance was her Is coronation.. FAMI is the nitrous to the already most POWERFUL metal band. I still don't think LOVEBITES doesn't know the size and depth of the WOLFPACK. You can see ASAMI Flat out blown away with the crowd singing their song. How's that for humility. By the time LOVEBITES get to PROGPOWER in Atlanta. Please don't hate I have much love for AMORPHOUS. ❤ But that said; I don't see LOVEBITES playing second billing again. The he earplugs are great I’ve spent a great deal of my life wearing them. It’s made a big difference and I can still hear all of the little nuances in the music when the kids are playing. What you hear Bob On Stand and Deliver, you can hear it better on the studio version Haruna starts at high speed on the kick for 2 rounds, drops on the next 2, drops again and the last. Focus on her footwork when you hear the feel change on the songs more often than not Haruna altered her kick pattern. Miyako was heavy on the wah even in the studio version. Midori is the more technical guitarist.

Great song. Back to the basic power metal. IT seems as if they interact more after coming back from their hiatus. Fami should be smiling. Miyako's solo is no different from the studio recording, both played with the WAH pedal, but in this live concert the sound of the guitars from both Midori and Miyako were to low in the mix. Also the piano was to low in the mx this concert. FOH; get your act together!

This is not FOH's job. Fan videos capture some version of what the FOH system sends to the speakers, but for proper recordings like this one, feeds from all of the microphones and instruments are brought into the system and delivered to FOH and monitors with an extra feed to recording/broadcast when a live video is to be produced. The recording/broadcast feed is mixed completely separately. The only bit of FOH in that feed might be heard in microphones placed in the audience to capture the audience reactions.

Greetings Bob & thanks for more LOVEBITES! A Happy LoveBitten New Year to us all! Their compositions, lyrics & arrangements are unsurpassed in music of all time, imo. There are a couple songs from their 2021 EP "Glory, Glory To The World" that still have no LIVE or Music Video but are what I consider to be on the progressive end of their genre-range. Due to no LIVE or MV they are less known and very rarely reacted to. 12min total. This fan-video has Haruna's drums enhanced in the mix in celebration of her birthday (everyday!) 12/30 and also has [cc] lyrics. Bob-san's videos are fun to watch. This is because your body reacts well when listening to the song, and your comment is an accurate expression. By the way, what's great about fami-san. She is one of the beautiful Japanese girl, but she doesn't get caught up in that or is affected by it at all. She puts all her efforts into improving her skills. That's why when I watch her, I want to support her. I don't usually speak English, so I'm sorry if it's weird.
