I think Angelina absolutely will continue to follow her musical dreams and that she will try to make the best of it. When she was 7 she said that she wanted to become a superstar. As an 8 year old she said with a smile: "I think music has found me..." and also that for her "singing is like breathing for me". And look at her now: well underway to reach the goals she is dreaming of so many years already. And as there are so many Angelina Jordan rehearsal videos to be found on KZbin: it is no secret that Angelina is working very hard for it. She is not taking it for granted. I think that is the first and most important of all: don't take anything for granted.

Great reaction: I think your comments are spot on.... she has a unique voice and style and that will help ensure her long-term success.... one thing I am very impressed with is how with this song (and also another from her forthcoming EP "Old Enough" which she has "teased" ) she stays true to her jazz roots (she has deep roots despite still being very young! ) AND a contempory, catchy sound which should appeal widely.... I have found I love this song more and more with listening.... The song she teased "Now I'm the Fool" sounds as though it will be great too.

Great reaction, Bob! I couldn't agree more with what you said here. Angelina is a magnificent singer, and there is really no one like her. She is not yet 17,5 years old, and I guess this was recorded just around her 17th birthday. To sound like she does (and always HAS done to be fair) at such a young age is just incredible. I think her career can be as big as she wants it to be herself. But she will go down in the history books as one of the greatest singers do ever do it for sure. Much love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥ Oh! Btw.. For me this is an amazing song, in those pop-jazz that it's so personal to Angelina, transmit in full her style, her voice, her vibes, her elegance, her passion, and her first realty, the family. Great reaction, Bob! I don't just say that, I say it because you are very genuine with your comments. Yes, she will continue on the road she's on (driving a Porsche from yesteryear ain't bad !) and what will be a great boost to her is her fan base (her 'angels') are not just a bunch of frenzied fanatical fans but a group of people who have come to appreciate what a wonderful, humble, kind, caring and loving human being she is and will support her always. Welcome.... :) The best voice alive . This is Angelina's 6th original song to go with her 185 covers. She is 17 years old and in her 12th year as a recording artist. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 covering Billie Holiday. Her versions of jazz classics from her pre-teen years are the most beautiful jazz songs I have ever heard. Angelina has always created her own arrangements and has completely re-arranged classics like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Suspicious Minds", "Billie Jean", "California Dreaming" among many others. I know comparing Angelina to Amy Winehouse is meant as a compliment. We Angelina angels acknowledge Angelina has some physical resemblance to Amy Winehouse and at times, her singing reminds many of Amy. Amy was her own, unique artist, beloved by many. Angelina is also her own unique artist with a growing fanbase. We would appreciate anyone making the comparison, do so only once and take the time to learn about Angelina as a songwriter, singer and most importantly, the loving, empathic person she is. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The vast majority of the prize money was donated to charity benefitting poor children. Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. The album can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter and allowed Angelina to copyright her version. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZbin, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go" Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always dreamt and believed she would be.

BOB!!!! I just went and looked at your AJ play list,,,, I'm wondering how you have never reacted to Angelina's Recreation that will have her down in the books of most Jaw dropping cover in history!! You really really need to look up Angelina Jordan (9) Her Black And White version of "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU" ,, AJ rewrote the lyrics, arranged it and hand wrote her "Wishes" for the Band to follow. This is a cover of the original Shock rocker Screaming Jay Hawkins 1956 original,,,,, and all this was done when she was 9years old. It's is a must See and we all want to see your reaction. Thank you for another grand reaction to Angelina. This is certainly a toe-tapping song and, as with all the songs Angelina has written, the lyrics are for from trite, but give the listener pause for thought. So far, 8 singers who have covered this song, with varying degrees of success, and it has taken hold as a song for Line Dancers to do their thing with. They are mostly from the Asian community and there are over 40 videos of them on KZbin.

Angelina Jordan does have a Patreon page which midwife donate to her once a month that she don’t need the money but she has it and we want to help her as much as we can. Hi Steve this hanks for the comments. No actually in an elementary band teacher. I’m be taught high and junior level students in the past and I have some for private lessons that I teach too. I have not showed them her music specifically but I do have students who watch the channel and have seen her. They are amazed at how good she sounds.

Hi Bob, Like your reactions on the AJ songs you cover. You always teach us some of her techniques that she is now noted for i.e. how she uses "space" between words and Her pace to slow down many of her covers and Her original songs. I often play Angelina's music when I, too often, come home from a lousy day at work, and just soak in her heartfelt voice and empathy for our troubled souls. If somebody out there, for whatever reason, is seeing a Physiologist, save your hard earned money and take a dose of AJ. Two songs should do the trick. 😌😁
