Banda Aceh is a beautiful city. The people from Polem coffee shop is very friendly esp the family that paid your meal, they're very hospitable. and also they offered a ride. It looks like the people of Aceh looks more genuine kind (you can see from how they smile and interact with you, even the seller give you right price for the water) compare to other big cities in Indonesia. hindu temple in Muslim city is supposed to be not surprising, because islam is Rahmatun Lil'Alameen, islam is the bless for the whole universe, no matter if you're hindu, christian, etc, you shall feel safe in a muslim city especially if it's ruled with Islamic shari'a. tsunami museum is pretty moving, i remember those days, i was 14, watching news everywhere, everyday is a mournful day. I'm not from aceh and i don't have family there, but i feel their sadness that time. very sad. 😢 BIG RESPECT to the beautiful family to treat you like you're one of them. as muslim and as Indonesian I'm so proud of them, thank you for giving such a good example for us, very inspiring.
