I’ve got…. no bulls****, about 15-20 models waiting for me to start building (B-Wing, A-Wing, Ties & X-Wings, I’ve got AT-ATs and ATs, Connies & Galaxies & Mirandas & Excelsiors and man am I STOKED I found this channel!! Unlike so many build videos, these actually show precisely how you’re doing it so it can be repeated. I am, honestly, much obliged - can’t wait to play hookie at work tomorrow to build! Hahaha

Cool. If it helps others to build models, then I've done what I wanted. Give ideas, pointers and inspire for your own builds.

Ah ... metal tubing, fiber optics, thin wires and small spaces. Dealing with that on my Bird of Prey right now. Awesome work!

I built the Boba Fett kit and immediately became addicted. I've since completed the X Wing Starfighter Red 5, Vader, the Tie Interceptor and I have three more on deck. R2/3PO, Millennium Falcon and the Scout Trooper w/ Speeder Bike. I haven't ventured into lighting yet but the detail in these kits makes it such a pleasure to take time with the painting and weathering. The finished product looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing the final result!

They are amazing kits. I have half a dozen more waiting to build. I also recently completed the speeder bike kit. Photos can be seen on my Facebook page.

since you're using fiber anyways , to prevent light leakage , I would recommend having LED further up barrel inside metal tubing .

The led won't fit down the diameter of the tubing I used.

Great build. So glad I subscribed to your channel. Question, where did you order your .4mm copper tubing?
@modelsbychris4 жыл бұрын
I got it on Amazon.

@@modelsbychris Thanks. Very kind of you to take the time.

@@ryansergeant2896 Actually, if you're referring to the 1/32" tubing for the guns, I got it at Hobby Lobby. All of that tubing came from Hobby Lobby. I did get some 1mm tubing from Amazon with a .3mm hole though that I used for the Jupiter 2 model. www.amazon.com/dp/B07NMJT2LL/?coliid=I2HVQ45OIWJOA&colid=17UEKPCTSE47L&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Excellent work. What drill bits do you use? Is it a particular set?
@modelsbychris5 жыл бұрын
Just whatever I find on Ebay usually. I haven't gotten enough to find if there's a particular brand that's better than others.

Where do you buy your LEDs and fiberoptics?
@modelsbychris4 жыл бұрын
Ebay. Plenty of sellers and very reasonable prices. My fibers I get specifically from seller me80 on Ebay.

Do you mind sharing where you are able to find the studio model references? Please.
@modelsbychris5 жыл бұрын
modelermagic.com has a gallery section where people have submitted photos from different Star Wars conventions where the studio models have been on display. And also just Google searching ILM studio models.
