Love the review! I better get this figure soon, before it fades away into the overpriced aftermarket. Curious, it looks like it might scale really well with either the Toho Kaiju series or the Movie Monster series Godzilla 2000 figure.

this figure manages to be better than any new Godzilla Movie Monster Series since 2016, from the promotional pictures i fell in love with this new Gamera. Although i'm planning to get the SHMA Gamera 1995 i would pick up this beauty maybe next month. It's very surreal that this guy is a 2020 release! It sure does gave me hope future MMS releases look as perfect as this guy is! ((Bandai i need a reissue 8 inch GMK with this kinda paint job p l e a s e)

There is nothing wrong with the Godzilla figure toho did a Great job on the Godzilla figure but every body got a different opinion. That never worked for a toy .company . so it's understandable . But I like this Gamera better. .not because you said it. It's that it's true there is more dedication to this Gamera figure. It's really Awesome. But then again it's my opinion. But Godzilla is still king of the monsters . Godzilla doesn't always have fins on his tail all the way. . Inn movies and figures thats okey with me. . As a Matter of fact I like both monsters I grew up with both of these monsters. since the 70s and 80s and their figures .so I'm used to some imperfections .new gens expected today. So they Karen. And whine about . I find nothing wrong with what these two companies have done. I Love what they do. Imagine if we Gen X had these type of figures when we grew. Up as kids. This Gamera is pretty cool though . Both were done staying true to their appearance at their particular time. .. inn my opinion. And facts. But This bandai Gamera is a must get. .for Gamera fans . Including me .

I have this and the Arrow Blu-ray coming to me and I can't wait for them. I have been looking to get DVD or Blu-ray of these movies to finally watch in full for the first time in my life and it seems like the best is coming out later this month, or at least people are saying it's going to be the best way to watch Gamera. I caught them on TV as a kid but I never could watch all of any of the movies. Yeah, I know the old ones are kid movies but I am really looking forward to watching the trilogy that came out in the 90's. I will be able to watch the old movies, which I am happy about but I have this awesome vinyl to watch the movies with me, cause I don't think anyone else will be wanting to watch Gamera with me. Godzilla, I know of a few fans but Gamera, no. I am happy though and I am geeked out to get this wonderful vinyl and I can't wait for later in the month for the movies. @@Gojirawars03 that's true but in comparison to bandai godzilla figures, it's doubtful that those will be displayed from the back, but the dorsal fins are still painted. Gamera's shell is equivalent to godzilla's dorsal fins.

They're both really awesome I have all the bandai Gamera figures 3 from the guardian of the universe collection and the original Gamera and he's painted black and white as well but I think the reason that that Godzilla looks like that is cuz it's a black and white version how else are they going to paint the original Godzilla he's black and white in the original

In prior lines, Bandai made the black and white essence feel and look very stylized and cool, building up on the greyscale and having it appear in a way that both felt and looked cool. With the 2019 reissue. They did the bare minimum. It’s a lazy half painted grey figure with yellow teeth & not much else. Which is a shame in comparison to what the figure looked like in the past. ShodaiGoji deserved better for the sake of being the first.
