8:48 Seeing the mms figure in hand is so awesome cuz we really get to see the big differences when compared to ride goji. -0.1 goji is so modified from the original design, this is pratically the cgi equivalent to when Toho slightly modified suits for the old movies. I find that kinda cool as that is Toho af. Keeping the same traditions. Both designs really goes hard and -0.1 is going to look so epic.

Yeah it’s cool kinda seeing that make a return, really does feel like the days of yore! In MinusGoji’s case, it’s nice to see the overall shape stay the same with some adjustments I didn’t know I needed to see. I’m sure we’re some months out from a wild repaint of the guy, but somehow… I kinda like how he is. Minimal. It’s not too bad!

What I like about MinusOneGoji is that it feels like something we would have gotten if the Millennium series continued after GFW.

It looks like ride godzilla. The scars on the rock-like skin and the sharp back are good. It's a cool mix of Heisei and Showa era elements.

Indeed! He's a great mixture of past and present, I think that's why so many have welcomed this guy in such a loving way. It's not too far away or too on the nose and lovingly represents Godzilla in a way that feels like a compilation of all his prior forms!

I really want this figure. I wanted the SH Monsterarts MinusGoji but once I saw the GiganGoji SH monsterarts I knew I had to pre order it instead of MinusGoji. Hopefully I can get the MMS.

I think you made the right choice lol that SHMA Gigan is gorgeous and this MMS release will probably be easier to find over the SHMA one. But knows! That US Godzilla Store has done really well with pricing and getting wide and exclusive releases into the hands of a lot of people since it opened, maybe it’ll be the same with SHMA MinusGoji.

Toho Kingdom forums says hi. Apparently they’re a little jealous that you make enough money from Patreon to be able to afford getting these figures so fast, or that you get Patreon money altogether when “all he’s (you’re) doing is reviewing toys”. I got my grandparents to order this off Showcase since my birthday is later this month, I saw him and and I was like "MUST ACHIEVE 100TH BIG LIZARD!!!" I also pre ordered "Monster A" last month and the Ichiban kuji 9 inch MinusGoji😂😂 he looks great!! Definitely have stop motion plans for MinusGoji aka thicc boy over here. I was debating on buying the Monsterarts but as good as he looks, I cannot justify a whole 140$ with zero accessories and standard 6 inch scale, hell the ichiban kuji one is almost 10 inches tall and thats only 95-100$, a whole 40-45$ cheaper than the monsterarts, sure he may not have articulation but he makes up for that in size, and I think he looks great, like a cheaper X-Plus. This is honestly a great alternative if you can't or don't want to shell out 140$ for a figure while may have more detail, is still similar in size with zero accessories. Hell now I am gonna try to get RideGoji for Christmas and have them next to each other.

Judging from the recently released reissues by Bandai Play, nope. Same things from head to tail to tag. Bandai barely pays for paint, they ain’t paying for translated materials… though I wish they did. Then I would know wtf is going on inside the tags.

Personally, I’d take the MMS and KOTMS over SHMA. Id rather see what I’m getting as I order it and feel confident about it vs. seeing what I could get as I order it and worry over the 50/50 ratio of getting peak, or poop. SHMA and Godzilla just don’t seem to be jelling too well these days.

@ShinRobjira his skin is modeled to be like radiation scarring, but I'm talking about "nuclear cataracts" (I looked up the name of it) which is caused by direct exposure to ionizing radiation. Which would fit perfectly into godzilla lore. (Also it would be cool if It was based on the actual nuclear cataracts like what they did with the skin texture, so his pupils would have the image of the bombs detonation/mushroom cloud directly embedded into his vision)

I'm not into the design from the start, and taking a closer look from this review I ended up liking it even less (not that I like it even slightly in the first place). I know, issa MMS and SHM probably gonna do the design justice even more. I guess I'm just not into "guy in a monster suit" aesthetic. This is a CG, but the proportion's still look like a suit. Just a matter of preference maybe. I do prefer Legendary's proportion style, as well as Shin Ultraman lanky style (for JP's modernization of their own toku chara), which both I would argue would be realy hard to translate into wearable costume 1:1 with their on-screen appearance
