It made me go "Hmmm, it's been a while" so I had fun building it. Not the greatest of the variaus versions, but still good. Potential...

I painted the brown leg bits black and took off the soft goods at the waist. You already hit it with the dull coat, but otherwise, it really improves the look of the kit, in my opinion.

Watching you shakily apply decals and paint was giving me second-hand anxiety, and the music didn't help! You've mentioned having shaky hands before but honestly, I'm like half your age and shake just as much, if not more. Great job on this! I've seen some Star Wars model kits at decent prices at department stores, and I might give one a go... whatever the easiest one is.

It doesn't help that I drink a lot of caffeine in the morning, haha. But, the trick is to hold the piece you're painting and cup your hands together, get them both shaking together. And all the kits are about the same level, human types are fairly easy. Then there's C-3PO with a couple of tricksies, and then the most difficult is probably Grievous. Cue some to swoop in and comment about "It's no Gundam Master Grade" haha, but even with easier kits there's a learning curve if you haven't done them before, like I was before these Star Wars figure kits.

This kit was my absolute very first one and it certainly did take some elbow grease lol. But I had so much fun making it! I put together a Grogu recently and am gonna move to Mando soon

Aside form toys and everything, i am really enjoying looking at uncle robo trying new stuff. Sometimes even for young people doing new stuff is not easy, may feel scary, but thriving forward with creativity and grace for someone who may not be a youngster (haha i absolutly mean no disrispect). Freaking inspiring. Shoutout to Robo's creativty for not aging a bit. Happy holidays.

Hey Robo, for an idea for the tubes on the arm, go to Wal-mart and get a pair of shoes that has the tree looking thing holding them together because lots of times they have that rubbery string on it and that works great to replace the tubes with, it is nice and stretchy i have done it with Black series figures, just glue it in place, hope this is an idea for you and great video as always.

Hey Robo, I just noticed this in the Mandalorian model kit, The additional Boba Fett armor can be like the one with the episode where Mando gets the armor from Chapter 9: The Marshal. Also, in Chapter 10 where he got ambush in the first scene and speeder got destroyed, so he bundled up and hang with a metal stick. Can be a cool idea to be pose for the mandalorian model kit.

Great little tutorial video, Robo. I will most definitely be using this video when I'm building mine. Also, its a good looking model kit, and obviously seems very similar to the Mandalorian model kit (which I have experience with) so building this shouldn't take long. Like you, Robo, I will never use the Temora Morrison head sculpt (unless Casting Cave or someone else makes a fully painted one for this kit) and those plastic hoses annoy the hell out of me. I really hope that I can mix the original Boba Fett parts that came with Mando, and the parts that came with this Boba Fett, cause that might be an interesting extra for my shelf.

I just ordered another original Fett kit to do another Franken-Fett, gotta use those extras. And yeah, most of the kits are similar in build, takes me about 2 hours all said and done.

My Boba tubes broke, so I used the rubber tubes from a black series IG-88. They're dark grey rather than black, but you get enough length, they're a good size and they look good. I just super glued it in place at each end.

what a fun kit! I used the alternate shoulders and gave it a repaint to turn mine into his acid wash look from the tragedy episode. was a super fun project and I like it way better than Hasbro's attempt lol.

I really liked the build, but I had SO much trouble with the decals. I couldn't get them to peel off the paper at all. I wanted to research and see if this was an issue with others or if I just happened to draw a short straw at Target. The assembled kit still looks great but I would love to be able to add my decals.

Too be fair they do HIGHLY recommend you paint these kits, whilst they are close to average toys fresh out of the box with some paint they turn into the best collectables on the market, I think so far I've spent about 30 hours fully painting my boba model kit and paint wise is close to being on par with Sideshow (except the head I can't paint faces for the life of me)

Could totally just use that head on the clone trooper body if you wanted an unmasked clone. The funny thing is how forgiving the sculpt is when it comes to painting it. I chose to paint mine as he was seen in the espidoe "The Beleiver" because I liked all the scarring and acid wounds. it lacks some of the scars for that version, but it doesn't look that much off. So if you wanted to, it's an option. I have seen a couple people make the clones more human, with face sculpts.

Sooo...it is technically possible - with a repaint of those silvery parts - to create a weathered, "The Tragedy", look? If that were the case, I would exchange the fabric parts. They look a little goofy to me. The brown pants are fine, if you give them a little black wash, as his pants were a little dirty during the whole ordeal.

I think the belt is different, but apart from that, I don't see why you couldn't make it work. It would definitely look pretty cool. One good tip for easily adding battle damage like that is to use a sponge and dip it lightly in paint. If you do it right it'll create a really nice mottled effect.

@@marvelsomething1952 Hmm...I might not get this one. After a closer look at the Hasbro Black Series Tusken Boba, I decided to get another one of those. His articulation is sufficient for me, and the pants and soft goods look much better IMO. I will rob the flak vest and armour off of a Deluxe Black Series Boba and put it on the Tusken guy (after I removed his sweater thingy and the belt).

@@marvelsomething1952 Yes, I know, but it is not sufficiently accurate for me. To get this right, it needs a little work. Also, for some reason I do not like the headsculpt on this version, but on the robed version. I have seen a video of somebody who kitbashed the weathered Boba out of the Deluxe and the robed one, and it was perfect. So I will follow this route. I considered this Bandai model kit, because they are usually of better quality. But on the model kit, the pants look somewhat...off to me.

Seems like 80% reuse, which is ok since it's the same guy in the same armor and the base figure was already great, but I will stay with my own Tython and BoBF customs from the original figure, with some soft goods and paint, really satisfying to have some unique pieces (and I find a bit sad they didn't paint the head, like they did with stormtrooper Luke and Han)

This model kit was disappointing for me. I agree with th pancake collar. Looks terrible. Unfortunately black series is better than this one.
